There wouldn't be any point in having the double hurt only if you couldn't do that. The only way would be by mistake and that dosn't happen much.

I think the point of the double hurt is to keep them from raising the health too far, and the double hurt is there if it accidently happens. Accidents are one thing, but that is just plain cheating
