Serious Question.What Remote for Tourneys??

but you think they will restrict us to using one kind of remote for tourney play???

Personally, I HIGHLY doubt that any control style will be far superior to another, so there won't be any reason to regulate it. Most people are probably going to use Gamecube controllers anyway.

I doubt it. Unless the Wiimotes cause interference but I don't think they do. Almost all tourney players are going to be Melee vets so they will probably be using GC controller anyway. Unless one of the other controller types are REALLY uber.

i doubt it and i think most people will use the gamecube controller just because they're used to it, it fits confrotably, and how it plays.
if it fits confortably i doubt they will ban any type of control

More than likely, gamecube controllers will be the only allowable controller types.

I really really really doubt you will see wiimote bans at smaller tournaments and smashfests, but I know for a fact that MLG is enforcing a wireless controller ban due to bluetooth interference.

I also doubt pro tourneys will ban certain controllers. Some people just might play that way, it's not they're fault. Unless there was proven interference, they shouldn't ban anything.

Well we can count MLG tourneys out (which is a lot), but other tourneys probably won't ban different control schemes until it becomes some of a problem. I guess there could be some interference if there are like a bunch of people playing on different Wiis all at the same time in one room.

What if your Wii Remote connects to the wrong console or more than one console. That could be a problem if it does happen.

I know I'm going to be doing Smash Locals at my city for brawl.

I'm not allowing Wiimotes if get more than one system. If we only have one, then they should bring their own.
