Game 5 presents: HELIX

Why should you go to Helix?
  • Germany and especially Berlin is located in the center of Europe and easily accessible for everyone
  • Berlin is one of the worlds most amazing and exciting cities. Plenty of things to do and see
  • The Microsoft Atrium is a location more eSport than anything Smash Europe has seen so far
  • We are located right in the heart of Berlin. Only 500m from the famous Brandenburg Gate
  • No uncomfortable sleeping on the ground but rather in a nice hotel located next to the Microsoft Atrium
  • An Allstar TO Team with Germanys best and most renowned Tournament Organizers

Accomodation

Here's a list with nearby Hostels: http://bit.ly/1UIwjQe
Beware as the Berlin marathon is on the same weekened and prices may rise pretty fast!

Out of all hostels, we made a deal with Generator Prenzlauer Berg.
Some information:

  • 10 % discount at time of booking
  • Only with credit card
  • 2-6 bed dorms
  • As long as there are rooms available

Here is how it works:

  • Write a mail to berlin@generatorhostels.com
  • Write the code "ATRIUM" in your e-mail
  • Give the number of nights you'd be staying, as well as the number of beds
  • The new price will be calculated after this before you book

So question.

On the Smash.GG page it says that Melee singles is included in the Venue Fee.

If I was to enter both Melee Singles and Doubles, would it be 40 euro?

Yes it will!

There is no way to make Melee Singles mandatory on Smash.gg, which is why we just added the Melee Singles entry fee to the venue fee.

20 + 10 + 10 makes 40, so yeah :)

@ Mononoke Mononoke :There was an early bird discount for a whole month ;)

Google says that the distance between the Generator Prenzlauer Berg hostel and the Microsoft Atrium is 5.4km (3.4mi). That's over an hour walk and public transportation (bus) is still a half hour for a pretty measly distance. Any recommendations? Also what time of day does the tournament start and end? An hour walk isn't bad if we can leisurely make our way through Berlin without having to worry about being late (if the tournament starts really early)
