Can't wait!

Two questions:

Why not the weekend before Big House?

Why are we doing this VIP method for 3 v 3?

Two questions:

Why not the weekend before Big House?

Why are we doing this VIP method for 3 v 3?
3 Reasons for 2 weeks before BH5
1. Doing it 2 weeks before Big House allows more incentive to OoS to Travel along with not hurting the wallets of locals. I'd rather them have 2 weeks to regain funds and attend Big House than have to choose between the 2.
2. There is also an incentive/raffle that has to do with Big House that making it 2 weeks prior helps us out with.
3. Works better with other Midwest TOs since I've been working on this date since end of July/early August.

The reason for VIP style 3v3 is purely based on time/scheduling. The schedule will be announced today and you will see why I opted for this style. It is also a really fun way of playing 3v3's and creates an interesting team dynamic.

I see, thanks. But I would have thought doing it the weekend before gives more incentives for OoS to attend Rebirth (cuz what would they do the next weekend)? That's why I asked.

My team and I prefer to not host Project M as we are an eSports LLC.
Can u explain the exact law for Project M?

Copyright laws are much more vague and "catchallified" to a point where u dont even have 2 make money 2 have copyright....

Is it similar to having bootlegged DVDs up 4 rent "even though the former is more "victimless""?

I'm not sure if this is a bad question, but what is VIP? Does that mean it's limited?

EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't read it correctly...

Question, because I am not very educated in the pick/ban phase of Smash, what do counter picks do?

counterpicks are stages that are legal, but not in the starting 5 stages. You can use them as options to go to during game 2 or game 3 if they aren't banned by your opponent.

Sorry about not posting this earlier, I was out in California without a computer. The Pre-Reg is live here is a C/P from the FB Event page.

=============================
PRE-REG FOR REBIRTH V IS LIVE
=============================

Link: http://form.jotform.us/form/52427940104146

Share it around and please do yourself and the Pulse Gaming team a favor and Pre-Register. It allows us to begin seeding the tournament before it actually happens and it makes it so all you need to do is show up the day of, get a name tag, and compete.

==========================
Here are some notes for Pre-Reg
==========================

  • YOU DON'T NEED A PAYPAL TO PRE-REG!!!!!! YOU CAN PRE-REG USING A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD! JUST SELECT THE PAY WITH DEBIT/CREDIT OPTION AT CHECKOUT. IF YOU STILL ENCOUNTER AN ERROR YOU MIGHT NEED TO CREATE AN ACCOUNT, BUT YOU DON'T NEED TO LINK YOUR BANK ACCOUNT OR ADD MONEY TO IT.

  • Form will be live until 11:59 PM September 18th

  • Pre-Reg enters you into a GCA raffle and a GCC raffle!

  • LSR will be enforced if you dont' pre-reg LSR is Lain's Stupid Rule and makes it so you can only enter a total of 3 main events (ie Smash 4 1v1, 2v2, 3v3, and Brawl)

  • Venue Fee Price increases for registering at the door the day of.

  • We will be accepting payment at the door but we highly recommend pre-registering if possible. We would love to have the ability to have pools and doubles bracket created the day of.

  • Brawl has a cap of 32, Pre-Registering gives you a guarantee in the bracket that you might not have the day of

  • 3v3 teammates will be taken at the door

The only reason why this event is expensive, relatively speaking, is the it being a regional event and the venue is an expensive one.

go to nationals, they are MUCH MUCH more expensive...
I was comparing it to nationals. I'm in big house doubles and singles and of course I paid more but that is 3 days. To be fair, I signed up for all 4 rebirth events Anyway, I'm fine with the price.

No just Smash Wii U singles and doubles. Not sure why you asked.

If ANYONE wants to team for TBH please message me. I've had a lot of bad luck and need a teammate asap. Deadline approaching. Found teammate.

Nvm, still need one!
