What has the turnout for melee been like?

@ PK Thor you can claim them on the brackets I have posted above (links on the right).

@ Scorpio21 We just started melee this week and I was a little slow getting the advertising up for it, so the turnout was pretty small (5 players compared to Sm4sh's 33). The next one should have a larger melee turnout. Be sure to tell anyone you know so we can increase it.

I noticed that you guys labeled the 7th tournament as a Smash 3DS tournament. Not that it matters too much but I thought I should point that out.

@ PK Thor I had done that on accident, and there wasn't an option to change it. I'll see if there's somewhere I can request to get that fixed.

The tournaments start around 7-730, so you'll probably miss out, unless they decide to do doubles or something and one starts later.

Absolutely huge turnout this past Sunday (for a weekly). 64 players in the Smash 4 tournament and 11 in the Melee. Results will be posted later, really cool to see this weekly taking off.

Ridiculous number of players last night. I wasn't expecting more than mid 40s for Smash 4. Thanks so much, guys! Plenty of new faces mixed in with the regulars. I hope everyone can keep coming out.

I know a lot of people have school/work on Monday, so they might not make it out, but since we've followed in Apex/Evo footsteps and switched to 2 stock, I expect the tourney won't run much past 1030-11, so please, make it out if you can!

Melee players: I apologize for the lack of stream. I had ordered a splitter this week, but it didn't work. It was my fault for not testing it before last night. I'll have one that works for sure next week, so expect some stream time.

do you think the tournament will expand into that space next to the entrance door? It felt a little cramped at the last tourney. Still, great job running the tourney Soonk, I will be back next time.

I don't expect we'll see that many people again for a while, but I do realize how cramped it is in there, even with the 30ish players. Everyone asks about the hallway, but right now it's full of arcade stuff, and I don't see that changing in the near future. I'm gonna look into tearing down some of these walls and buying us a little more space near the entrance of the room, but that's gonna take some time, so bear with me. Thanks for coming out!

I do! Lol, and for some feedback for the tournament: I really enjoyed it! I came with a cousin and he told me there was gonna be like twenty-some people. Nope. 60+. Haha! Which was great. Just had to step into the hall every now and then for some cool air since it was so packed.

Yeah, usually tops out around 30, but I guess the holiday weekend really boosted our numbers. Can't complain about a 64 man bracket, although I agree, it was a little packed. Wish I had more room to work with, but that's how it goes sometimes. Hope you guys make it back

Doors open at 6 to the venue and tournies usually start at 7. If you plan on being late just give them a call or talk to them in the twitch chat when the stream starts around 6.
