SDHC or SD?

I've just read the Vertex hack tutorial and did all the steps, but nothing showed up. What I mean is, like, the texture hacks did not come up. Then I tried Riivolution, and some of the textures showed up, but not all of them. The character textures came up, plus the battle portraits, but not the CSS portraits. I was wondering if it had to do with the SD card, because mine's a SDHC, not a SD. If not, can anybody help me with this problem?



(BTW, the mod I'm trying to install is Smash 3.)

If you're using the default version of Gecko OS, then SDHC cards won't work. Use this version instead.

Umm, how would I use this? I don't see any app folder... Am I supposed to open an exe or something?

Go to the /apps/ folder on your SD card, make a new folder (call it Gecko_SDHC), and put the boot.dol file from the download into it. Then load "Gecko_SDHC" from the Homebrew Channel, and use it as normal from there.

Hmm, still not working. The textures still don't work. I tried using the file that you used, but it still doesn't work. Any other fixes?

Try going to "Loader Config", and change "Hooktype" to AXNextFrame. Save your settings, and load the game.

There's no option for that in the fix that you gave me earlier. I also tried it in 1.9, it still didn't work.

1.9 is the one that's incompatible with SDHC.

As an alternative, you can try using the Project M launcher. You'll also need this code in your GCT file:

What I'm trying to say is, when you gave me the Gecko_SDHC fix, it doesn't have the "AXNextFrame" as a launch option. I just left from Project M, and for now the mod is incompatible on Project M. I also have no idea how to only get the Project M launcher WITHOUT the Project M files.

To get the PM launcher without the PM files, just copy the /apps/ folder from the PM download to the SD card, and ignore the rest of the files.
The PM launcher is more up-to-date than either Gecko version, and is compatible with SDHC cards.
