Salty Player Series is a Super Smash Bros tournament series where we pick a player from the community that has improved great, contributed to the scene in some way, or who we feel has a big influence. We've shown appreciation to a few players already, The Real Mr, M., Boosk, and Shoyo James. This time we wanted to move away from the New Jersey seen and show some appreciation for a community that has done nothing but show us love, the Philadelphia Smash Scene. When there are events in New Jersey, Philadelphia comes with the whole squad. This shows their dedication to the smash scene and general support for the Community. More importantly we wanted to select a player we believe has improved so much and continues to level his game, Juice! He is nothing less than a powerhouse, his Zero Suit Samus has climbed the ranks and has placed him has one of the best Smash 4 players that Philadelphia has to offer. This event will feature Singles and Doubles and will be the last Smash 4 event bringing PA and NJ together at Salty Joystiq. Thank you to everyone attending and we can't wait to see you there.

All players must pre-register on the Smash.gg page when it becomes available. We will be taking sign ups at the door as long as we don't reach our 50 player cap on Smash.gg.

Tournament Rules
- 2 stock (3 stocks for doubles)
- 6 minutes (8 minutes for doubles)
- No items
- Damage ratio: 1.0
- Pause off
- Starters: Battlefield*, Final Destination, Smashville, Town & City, Lylat Cruise
- Counterpicks: Dreamland*, Omega Stages*
- All Semi-finals and Finals are Best-of-5
- All coaching is banned
- Stage Clause, a player/team may not pick the last stage they previously won on during the set.
- No Gentleman's Clause
- Winner gets 1 Ban
Additional Info
- Banning Final Destination BANS Omega Stages
- Banning Battlefield BANS Dreamland and vice versa.
- Omega stages: Palutena’s Temple, Suzaku Castle and Wily Castle.
- Custom moves are DISABLED.
- Amiibo’s are banned.
Set Prodecure:
1. Players select characters. Double blind pick may be initiated.
2. Players strike to starter stage in 1-2-1 fashion. Rock-Paper-Scissors may be used to determine who strikes first. Game 1 is played.
3. Winner of Game 1 bans 1 stage from the full list of stages. Loser of Game 1 selects from remaining stages.
4. Winner of Game 1 switches characters if necessary.
5. Loser of Game 1 switches characters if necessary. Game 2 is played. Repeat steps 3-5 until set is completed.
**Now this is important, its about finding our location and some rules! You will be pulling into a Plaza that has a CVS and other business', our entrance is on right side of the building by the Sherwin Williams Paint Store. Feel free to park on the left side of the building or in front of it. Just don't park in the reserved parking areas or the handicap and you should be fine! Also we have a concession area where people can buy drinks and food so we DO NOT allow food or drinks inside the building. They only thing that is acceptable to bring is water, but besides that only thing left is for you guys to have a good time and let us know if you have any questions.
