Please read below, there are some important changes this month

Hey everyone!
It's only halfway through the month, but we're changing up the way the Rotating Game Voting works so we figured we'd start a bit early this time

What is this for in the first place?
Right now we have time for 3 brackets at SSF each week - but with Guilty Gear Strive & Smash Ultimate locked into the schedule, that still leaves an open slot!
Because of this, we hold a vote each month and run the Top 2 games!
The winning games will be ran on alternating weeks (So the 1st week would be Strive, SSBU, and one of the games - followed by Strive, SSBU, and the 2nd game the week after)

This month we're trying out a new voting process!
In the past we just had people vote for their 1st and 2nd picks, but this had a few issues (both inherent to the voting method, and with the implementation)
This time (and assuming it works well, for future months) we're going to be moving over to ranked choice voting (you may know it as "instant runoff voting" or something)!

There's a breakdown of how it works on the form itself, but the TL;DR is: Just vote for the games you want, even if you think the chance of it winning is low - you won't "waste" your vote!

Also, if you have any feedback for us in general this would be a great way to let us know!

September 2022 | Rotating Game Voting (and General Feedback) Form

Hey everyone!
We're only a few weeks away from September, so it's time for the monthly game vote!

What is this for in the first place?

We're using a weighted vote system - everyone is able to vote for up to 5 games they'd like to see at SSF, and every vote gives a game a certain number of points (higher-ranked - "closer to 1st choice" games get more points per vote)

=== The Persona 4 Arena Ultimax Kickstart League ===

Hey everyone!

Today I'm happy to announce the next Kickstart League for Persona 4 Arena: Ultimax, with sign-ups starting now!

== What are the Kickstart Leagues? ==
The Kickstart Leagues (or 'KSLs' for short) are online, crew-battle format New Player Leagues, where small teams practice and compete together while learning a new game!

== Why do we run the KSLs? ==
The goal of each Kickstart League is to get a group of people together and playing at the same time, and help 'Kickstart' a community for it!
We try and make it easy for new players to learn from more experienced people as well, to help everyone get over some of the initial hurdles of learning any new game

== Who can enter the KSLs? ==
You must:

• Be new to (or relatively inexperienced in) Persona 4 Arena: Ultimax
• Be able to run the game steadily
• Have a wired internet connection (powerline can work - DM me for a connection test!)
• Be in the PNW (OR/WA/ID - exceptions can be made if you're close though, so DM me if you're not sure!)
• Be available reliably on Match Days (for this KSL that means Mondays and Wednesdays) During September and October

You do NOT need to sign up as a team, and it's probably easier for us if you don't anyways
(If you do want to team with someone though, put it in the notes when you sign up and we'll see what we can do!)

• - Signups close on August 27th
• The first League Match(es) will be on September 7th
• All League Matches will be on Monday and/or Wednesday evenings

This is a New Player League, and there will be minimal (if any!) prize support - this league is for fun and to learn more than anything else!

Hey everyone!

October is coming up before too long, so it's time for the monthly rotating-game vote!

== What is this for in the first place? ==

We only have time for 3 brackets at SSF each week, but with @Guilty Gear Strive [PS4] ( @Guilty Gear Strive [PC] ) and @Smash Ultimate locked into the schedule we still have time for one more!

To figure out which game, we hold a vote each month and run the Top 2 games!
The winning games will be ran on alternating weeks (So the 1st week would be Strive, SSBU and one of the games - followed by Strive, SSBU, and the 2nd game the week after)

== How does the vote work? ==

We're using a weighted vote system - everyone is able to vote for up to 5 games they'd like to see at SSF, and every vote gives that game a certain number of points (higher-ranked or ""closer to 1st choice"" games get more points per vote)

Also if you have any feedback for us in general this would be a great way to let us know!
