As revealed today, Sakurai revealed that stages from Super Smash Bros: Melee would be making a return. Most notably, Hyrule Temple.
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/stage18_071130b-l.jpg" alt="Hyrule Temple" align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /><!--more--></p>
Sakurai has mentioned in this update that many stages have been created and on top of those stages, he is bringing back stages from previous Smash Bros installments. Only thing about these stages though is that Sakurai mentioned there would be a slight difference in them compared to Melee and this may very well be a result of the new character’s dimensions and their relative size compared to stages like Hyrule Temple.
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/stage18_071130c-l.jpg" alt="Pinball madness will ensue on these stages..." align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
For the most part these is no noticeable difference in these pictures, but I’m sure once we play we’ll know what Sakurai meant when he said:
<blockquote>We’ve tried to create an exact replica, but there may be a few areas that differ from the last game. I hope you understand.</blockquote>
<p align="center"><img src="/blog/wp-content/uploads/2007/12/stage18_071130d-l.jpg" alt="Chaos, yay!" align="middle" border="0" height="315" width="400" /></p>
<p align="center">Can you imagine Giga Bowser getting stuck in there?</p>
On top of the revelation of older stages, Sakurai is putting new/retro music to some of these stages to give them a new feel. I’ve always been a big fan myself of Adventures of Link, so I was happy to hear they redid the temple music to include the Great Temple (one of the most annoying dungeons/castles in Zelda history).

One of the best stages in SSBM has returned! I think that the changes Sakurai talked about (at least on this stage) is that going to the bottom at high percents no longer equals living forever

The time stamp on the blog didn't carry over to the boards, thus the confusion. Good to see you guys are nit-picking at stupid crap instead, oh, say, contributing to discussion.
Just sayin'...This has been around all weekend. I'm pretty talked out on it.

Yeah, I had a feeling this stage would return, without the problems it had in melee

I'm glad to hear that music. Like... more than the regular temple music. It just shows that The Adventures of Link is more influential that one would think.

Yeah, it was one of my favorite games, by the way. STILL haven't beaten Dark Link. >.<.

Nice music. Pretty nostalgic. Not to mention the return of one of my favorite stages. I love playing underground there with my friends.

Although I'm begging to God that Sakurai adds Flat Zone to Brawl. If he can add the Pictochat stage, why not add another epic stage from Melee? Personally, that was my second most playable stage (FD being the first).

And just so you guys know, I have a Game and Watch, but it's a GBP-style G&W. The battery of it has run dry though, so I can't play it until I find the replacements.

Why did it take an entire 3 days for this topic to be created? Oh well, it was a nice update though I wish they didn't just show one stage. Especially because it has 'Stages' in it.

If it came to a update regarding N64 stages, I'd be hoping for Zebes here. I like Safron City, Hyrule Castle, and the great fox more, but those are basicly remake-able, minus tiny effects.

I think they'll probably add the great fox from Melee, though, since its been around in every Smash game.

Temple is one my favorite stages in melee so I'm glad to see it's returning. I'm not really liking the remixed music though. Good thing there's "my music" to solve this problem.

I'm suprised he didn't reveal Pokemon Stadium 1, considering we've got #2. It was practically a given yet he reveals these other 5 instead. Just found it odd. Also Corneria and Brinstar are back, again, heh. They're like Smash Staples I guess, except now Metroid get's 2 lava stages... whoopee. :p

For heaven's sake....Brinstar?? Onett??

He could have picked up the more decent ones, like FD, Fountain of Dreams, Peach's Castle, Great Bay , n64 kirby stage , Yoshi's story. THESE are the ones that need to come back.:dizzy::dizzy:

But Nooooooo, we get Brinstar and freakin Onett!:mad::mad: (I love the music though )

FD is a given. And we've already gotten Fountain of Dreams and Dreamland.

PM if you're adding me!
My only fave from those stages ar Corneria, for its music's epicness and the fact that it's not a cheap stage like the rest. Also, Sakurai said something quite interesting:

"I can tell you that for everyone working on this game, the amount of content has been surprising to say the least."

Does that mean we might be getting waaaaaaay more stages/characters/overall replayability than Melee?

Nvm Got confused with this topic with the other

Well, Temple is one of my old favorite stages. I'm glad to see it again, as well as the other stages revealed today.
