Sakurai made a good Christmas update.

Who cares? It's a pagan festival that the Christians appropriated as they converted people. It has nothing to do with the Japanese and absolutely nothing to do with Smash.

it was a good update for everyone else in the world who didn't know sonic's FS (people who check it casually), and it was still good for us because the music was really cool, AND he mentions knuckles.

For TC's info, Sakurai knew information about Brawl would be spread across the 'net quickly. He's only stated so about a thousand times.

And the angel island music is awesome. I hope they add an Angel island level.

Dont count on that logic. The Underworld music is Pits main music, yet his stage is Skyworld.

Since Sakurai acknowledged that Sonic was the most demanded character for Brawl, a double update with Sonic as a christmas update seems pretty obvious, with hindsight. Although I've already seen Super Sonic in action, the Angel Island music update pretty much saves it for me, I have quite a bit of nostalgia for that tune.

I'd say the fact that most of the updates are in-tune with the E for All footage is pretty obvious too, since huge gaming websites like IGN have quite a bit of gameplay footage, and popular places like Youtube too. It's pretty much a combination of punishment and enlightening a lot of people on the little details of all the things they might have or might not have seen... thankfully I'm easy to please so I don't really care if any updates are essentially what we've seen before.

Ah yes, exactly how I feel. Good to know some people acknowledge Sakurai's hard work and appreciates every update. We're so spoiled, we deserved coal on Christmas, and yet, we got a double Sonic update, including a music bonus -- which assumes a Sonic stage? Hopefully.

Probably because the mods are celebrating Christmas? Theres a bunch of weird threads and people quintuple posting and etc.
