The Music was good too. Im not the biggest Sonic fan, (But Im still a Sonic Fan.) But Live & Learn is one of the greatest choices for Brawl out there.

Since Sakurai acknowledged that Sonic was the most demanded character for Brawl, a double update with Sonic as a christmas update seems pretty obvious, with hindsight. Although I've already seen Super Sonic in action, the Angel Island music update pretty much saves it for me, I have quite a bit of nostalgia for that tune.

I'd say the fact that most of the updates are in-tune with the E for All footage is pretty obvious too, since huge gaming websites like IGN have quite a bit of gameplay footage, and popular places like Youtube too. It's pretty much a combination of punishment and enlightening a lot of people on the little details of all the things they might have or might not have seen... thankfully I'm easy to please so I don't really care if any updates are essentially what we've seen before.

We already knew about Super Sonic, cuz he was in the 'Sonic joins the Brawl' trailer. I just want to see Snake's or Zelda's FS, really.

The music update was cool though! Angel Island sounds sweet. Then again, I like music updates. The FE theme and Porky's theme songs were horrible though.

I never really played Sonic games until the Gamecube came with SA1 SA2:B and Sonic Heroes.
Although I do remember playing a demo of Sonic and Knuckles, which had that stage.

I don't really particularly like today's update. Sure the music was good, but the Final Smash wasn't all that great. I know what Super Sonic is and how it works. Really, it's just Sonic having the ability to fly and fly fast. Not that special. So I hated the Final Smash update. But I loved the music.
At least I got more pictures of Pit.

I was thinking more of a stage hazard. If they ever made Angel island as a stage, well, Knuckles was known in the game for setting off various traps, leading to different parts of the island.

"Angel Island Zone" shows that he's going to draw from ALL Sonic history, not just the Adventure series.

Hopefully we'll see an S&K3 stage, here's hoping for Ice Cap Zone!

Ugh. Sick and tired of people whining and moaning. But it's all opinion, so nothing I can do really.

I loved this update. One, we got a beautiful screenshot of Super Sonic, probably my favorite 3D image of all time. ^^ And the music brought back so many memories. If only they brought this music back for a new Sonic game...on Angel Island and whatnot.

Fun known fact, Sonic was born on Christmas Island. ^^ I should have seen this coming for an update. :3

What are you guys talking about that we "weren't supposed to see" the E4All stuff. Nintendo even had a press conference for IGN, Gamespy & 1UP where they showed Smash. They allowed the PRESS the record and release footage but not gamers. And in those press videos Sonic's Final Smash was shown. Nate showed us all this stuff. Nate writes the english translation for smashbros.com

It is "Angel Island Zone." It is a song from "Sonic The Hedgehog 3," in which Knuckles first appeared.

Well, I think Knuckles may have a better shot of making some sort of appearance in this game. Previously, I didn't suspect it but he could be anything now from a boss to a playable character. If anyone's going to be an assist trophy from the sonic series it's going to be Tails. We all know that helicopter tail recovery is the only thing he's got going for him and even that was annoying at times when playing.

In Sonic 3, Knuckles was considered his new nemesis. Mario has Bowswer, hopefully zelda/link will have Ganon... King DeDeDe for Kirby... these are the matchups that the fans want. Knuckles would be waaaay cooler than Eggman/DrRobotnic (sonic's original nemesis)... Shadow is too new in my opinion. Metal sonic (sonic2) should just be a alternate outfit for Sonic if they want to go all out.

Even if we humor your asinine "we weren't supposed to know" statement, Sakurai himself showed us super sonic in Sonics Intro movie.

However, I'm one of the opinion that the music saved the update, very catchy, though I didn't play sonic 3 enough to know of it.

We got a remixed Angel Island Zone soundtrack. That's the only thing that caught my eye as far as the updates go. It wasn't a newcomer, but still nonetheless with give Sakurai his props on a fairly decent double update.

Wario got an alternate costume... But he's still wario. Metal sonic & Shadow are completely different characters.
