Last night was $1 low tier night. We saw the return of Nintendude who won very close sets to take the bracket over Robert. Last week was the biggest and most stacked Xanadu we ever had featuring boom, tacos, revan, fireblaster, and more. It featured plenty of upsets and close sets with boom winning the bracket fairly easily as a preview to Smash Con. DarkHorse is a little behind on getting the videos up as he has a lot to do with SSC. Be sure to check out his channel for when the videos are uploaded.

We will be moving 64 to Mondays starting in September. This will give us a full time VGBC stream, more time to go to Sticky Rice after for drinks and more games, and should allow for plenty of more players to sign up and play.

Update the Xanadu PR, all of a sudden it seems I no longer have enough matches to be qualified anymore?

Yes.

Tonight is the first Xanadu Monday. It will be low tier as it is the first Xanadu of the month.
Can we skip low tier cause we didn't have a Xanadu last week?
This is likely my last Xanadu for the foreseeable future, and I don't wanna have to wreck you guys with my low tiers for my last one.

When are people getting there?

Sorry but we're sticking to low tiers, since this is our first Xanadu on Monday we want low tier to attract more PM kids to play 64. Most people will show up around 5-6. You can certainly play high tier friendlies or MM people.

I watched some of the most recent S@X.

One quick thing: someone please tell Darkhorse to rethink/mixup his strategy during his opponent's invincibility.

Watching him run to one side of the stage and double jumping every single time was really painful to see, and he was getting punished really hard for it.

I haven't updated the OP in a while and frankly I'm too lazy to. https://advancedbrackets.com/vgbootcamp has all the brackets and results. http://elorankings.com/rankings.aspx?id=1 has the power rankings. https://www.youtube.com/thatsadarkhorse has all the videos. Add those all to your bookmarks or check the OP which has those links as well. Anyway:

This coming up Monday will be our 50th 64 Xanadu. As we just hit our 1 year anniversary (started 10/8/14) of running the largest and most popularly known 64 weekly in the US (maybe NA, who knows about Canada) and having 123 unique entrants including the best players in NA, we will be celebrating it with a twist on our tournament ruleset. Thanks to Darkhorse purchasing an EverDrive64, we will be using the 19XX hack that features the classic 1P stages of Final Destination, Battlefield, and Metal Cavern. Our tournament will run business as usual but any lucky entrants that get the chance to play on stream will be playing their matches on these 3 stages with an in game 8 minute timer, and for the first time in a while we will be making counterpicks legal. This is a great opportunity for 64 as a community to test these stages and the timer in a competitive environment, add some spice to the 64 weekly, and raise awareness and recognition for the modding that can be done to 64. (There is also rumors of a hack that introduces Falco to the game so we will look into adding this to a future weekly as well). For more on the 19XX hack check out this thread http://smashboards.com/…/19xxte-ssb64-rom-hack-updated-6-3…/. Look forward to seeing everyone next week, for entrants who sign up for the 50th 64 Xanadu there might be a special treat (maybe pizza or store bought cookies made with love, we will see).

I'll be going, but won't be playing on stream since I'm a dreamland purist.
