Anyone know if I can use a flash drive instead of an SD card for codes? My Wii stopped reading my SD cards! I'm super pissed! My SD cards still work in my computer though!

No luck.
As far as I know GeckOS will not read USB no matter how hard you try.
BUT since it is open source if anyone with some programming experience wanted to add this feature it doesn't sound like an insurmountable task

Just use the USB Loader...and I'll stop there. Can't mention anything past that.

Wait, why has your Wii stopped reading cards?

For some reason the Wii (or at least MINE) locks SD cards while they're inside if the lock is loose. Try seeing if that's the problem, unless Gecko Os just doesn't load codes off the SD. Even when it's locked Gecko Os should load codes, but you can't save replays or load textures, music, or .pacs.

Who would I ask?

It's my wii that's the problem, not my cards. But usb loader loads sd hacks too. And ISO hacking takes forever. But I can't launch the USB loader because I don't have an SD card to read my apps.

Doesn't the new homebrew update allow you to use flash drives to load things? (works for me)

GeckoOS won't load codes from USB.
USBLoader GX can load codes from USB to be used with a legit copy of a game on disc.

Really, I'll have to give it a try...

Awesome. So this app can load the file replacment code off a legit disc. If it can, I'm saved. I really hope this works.

I have updated homebrew channel, and gecko OS, and I have the Brawl+ codes on my USB thumb drive. I load gecko from my thumb drive, and it reads the codes from my thumb drive. imma playin brawl +. If there is anything in the SD card slot, it will override the USB. Also, the SD loader (for textures, psa, etc.) wont load from USB, but will still load from the SD card.
