No one takes the time to play Roy at top level.

He's underrated, underused, and underappreciated.

He still sucks.

Name 1 thing roy has that marth doesnt. dtilt sucks, upsmash can be sdi'd out of, vertical recovery maybe, but marth's side b is better than roys for recovery so that evens out sort of

Only thing I feel like roy has over marth is D-Tilit
Marth's dtilt is better at top level. Much better for neutral game and edgeguarding. It has more range and a good disjoint to keep opponents away. It's unpunishable. It is one of the best tools for edgeguarding in the game since it is the fastest option. This allows you to edgeguard effectively in situations where you wouldn't have enough time to use his other edgeguarding tools. Roy's dtilt is only good for combos. At top level, a strong punish game is a given. Tools that help in neutral are much more effective.

The most fun you could have with Roy is against a Jiggs and killing her at 0% unexpectedly. Other than that, he can't do much with that stick of his. Not to mention his dair has a better time meteor smashing people ABOVE him, but they can just meteor cancel and let him die if he is going off stage.
