Are you suggesting that doing the same thing for every move makes a character unique?
Did I suggest she WOULD do the same thing for every move? Or that attacks outside of her Helicopter hair would be unique? They would, but did I mention that earlier? No.

I reworded it already to solve that. Sorry.

Anyway, what notable abilities does Dixie have that uses her hair outside of Helicopter Hair?

She can be the first one to use barrels. The fact that DK and Diddy don't use any yet is astounding. (Rocket doesn't count)

We don't have to use hair attacks that were canonically used in the game.
You seem to acknowledge that Dixie has no original abilities, which is huge evidence supporting MY point that Dixie fighting with her hair is rather insignificant as "something brought to the table".

So what if she doesn't originally have original abilties? She can have smash attacks using her hair (not something anyone else in Smash can do.) as well as helicopter hair and a guitar (again something nobody else in Smash has.)

Have you forgotten that every single character in Super Smash Brothers does something that they didn't originally do in their actual games? Funny how Dixie Kong is the first character where you don't realize this when using her hair is her main uniqueness. Just not something she has several established moves of.

Lol, if you say so.

Good afternoon all, hope you're all doing well. Well, after being away for a day, I've taken the time to design some thoughts on what could be done in Pokemon Z and expand upon X and Y to make it a much better game, although it's already fantastic. I personally expect alot of Platinum-esque changes, namely a much more intricate story behind the main villain and a story that involves Zygarde, the third legendary pokemon of Kalos who I think will serve as the origin of Mega Evolution pokemon. As for that...I made this...

Mega Zygarde...with a brand new ability and two new moves exclusive to it, as well as a boost to its already known exclusive move, Land's Wrath. Anyways, I'm not really following what's going on, nor do I really care, so I'll just sit back and design some more Mega Evolutions while you all do what it is you do so damn sadly well.

Edit: Oh yeah, and yay for 1400 pages! :p

I'm not arguing against Dixie. I know about her moveset potential.

Lol, if you say so.
Instead of trying to mock me, how about you tell me what's so special about the hair? Why should it be in Smash? Just because it's new? A lot of things would be new, but they aren't entirely deserving either. Krystal's staff is the most notable example.

Dixie has an original mechanic in slowly descending with her twirling hair to gain horizontal ground. In Smash, she can be able to use this slow descent after her jumps and use aerial attacks out of it.

Her hair has also used in her dash attack in DK Country. And she can lift things with her hair which displays how it has prehensile properties which can be used in her attacks in Smash.

Bayonetta's hair is the most unique. We don't need Dixie Kong. :awesome:

Helicopter Hair and the Guitar could be unique, I'll give you that.

But for Smash attacks, the hair would probably just serve an aesthetic purpose. It could also help her moveset differ from Diddy's, but otherwise, doesn't truly bring anything new to the table.

I said "original". Rayman used "Helicopter Hair" before Dixie. Anybody can pick up a barrel. However, I do think that both of those things could be incorporated into her moveset. Again, I'd like to clarify that all I'm saying is that there is nothing exceedingly special about her hair, so using it as a basis for her inclusion is not reasonable.

In Smash it would be original. And that is what matters.

Yes, the Helicopter Hair would be new (despite acting like Peach's umbrella), but the rest of the things she'd do with her hair would be purely aesthetic, as opposed to actually unique capabilities of her hair.

I have moveset ideas for Dixie, but the only Special involving her hair is Helicopter Hair, so again, I don't see why the hair is so significant.

(Psst; you forgot the "/" between the equals signs if you're trying to say they're different. Currently you're saying they're the same. Toad=/=K Rool is what I'm guessing you're saying.)
Toad == K Rool.

Some men want to watch the world burn. Are you one of those men? Because I think you are.
No im not xD but people keep saying k rool have strong chances in the game, and im not agree with that.

Dixie's hair spin is a lot like DK's up special, she also was given a new move in Tropical Freeze similar to DK's hand slap, not to mention she's a gorilla... DIXIE CONFIRMED FOR DONKEY KONG CLONE!

There will be more hype for Smash. Right now Nintendo wants to be focusing on generating hype for the games it will be releasing this holiday season. Next year more information will be leaked pertaining toward Smash. After-all, Nintendo has a console to save from death right now.

Still up Peach's dress.
The amount of hype is so low for smash 4 right now for me its ridiculous. I thought sakurai would generate more hype than what he has... oh well Pm will keep me hyped up for now.
I bet my hype is a lot lower than yours right now, buddy.
(Also I'm a PAL user so I can't even get Project M without modifying my Wii. Kinda jealous.)

On a serious note I do kind of hope we don't have to wait until E3 for a newcomer. Just one between now and then would be enough really. Or maybe some info on a new game mode, or a new exciting item or anything really. Veteran reveals are great and all but it doesn't give us much to get hyped over if we can play these same guys in Brawl, especially if they're largely unchanged.

Hell; even confirmation of Luigi having the Poltergust or Peach having some sort of Super Princess Peach reference would be nice, because as it stands only Bowser, Pit and Olimar have been shown so far to have any major differences. Have we seen any differences in any other confirmed veteran yet?

Peach has had a ribbon added to her Up Smash. And her animation for her crown slap looked slightly different.

NON-SEQUITUR QUESTION INCOMING!

If Melee comes out on VC (since apparently Gamecube games will soon be available via download or something), any chances Roy/Mewtwo could be revealed to advertise its release? :p

The fact that you are actually asking this is why I mock you.

Why should it be in Smash?
Um, because it's her signature ability??? Why should Mario's fire be in Smash?

Just because it's new?
I don't understand what you are getting at? Are we basing every character's inclusion on what isn't in Smash and what you think is cool?

A lot of things would be new, but they aren't entirely deserving either. Krystal's staff is the most notable example.
What exactly determines what is deserving? Why is Dixie's signature ability not deserving to be part of her move set!?!? Why are you comparing this to a weapon only used once by a character in a game this isn't even really a Star Fox game?

I said "original". Rayman used "Helicopter Hair" before Dixie.
Is Rayman in Smash? Also I'm pretty sure King Arthur had a sword before Marth.

However, I do think that both of those things could be incorporated into her moveset.
Dixie can whip and swing with her hair so why not?

Again, I'd like to clarify that all I'm saying is that there is nothing exceedingly special about her hair
Ok

so using it as a basis for her inclusion is not reasonable.
Who is using it as a basis for her inclusion? You however seem to be using it as a basis NOT to include her

but the rest of the things she'd do with her hair would be purely aesthetic
If whipping, slapping, and grabbing is purely aesthetic.

I don't think your inability to make move sets should really be a basis for her uniqueness.
Dixie's hair spin is a lot like DK's up special
It's actually completely different in Tropical Freeze.

If Melee comes out on the VC before Smash 4 (probably not that likely, considering they haven't even formally announced GC VC games and we still don't have all the systems they actually did announce), then I suppose there's a decent chance, unless Sakurai wants to keep them hidden for some reason. It's not likely either of them will have much to promote before Smash 4 anyway.

I could see Mewtwo being saved for a bigger reveal though, what with being the most popular request.
