Dixie does bring in her hair gliding mechanic as well as a mid-range weapon with her ponytail.

Neither of those things are new. We have gliding and he have mid-range fighters.

I would love if they made a "Smash Shop" where you can buy stuff like songs, costumes, and Assist Trophies, and maybe even a stage or two. You can use the coins you get when clearing All-Star, Adventure, Classic, etc.

Cranky can be the own of the shop. I know it's a pipe dream but it would be really cool to see in the game.

Great, now I want Smash to have an in-game shop. One that might not even exist. Thanks you jerk. Though for real, that'd be cool. But I feel that Peppy needs to be the shopkeeper.

K Rool has the better chance to be unique, but Dixie would make a good semi clone. Like keeping most of the a attacks the same but switching the specials with things like hair spin or a hair grab that can be done midair. Some aerial hair tethering would be cool and her regular grab could also use her hair. Theres alot that could be done to make her unique.

Fighting with her hair would be new. And the way she slow falls with her spinning hair is a different mechanic than the gliding seen in Brawl.

I want to see Dixie as more of a tactical fighter that focuses on stopping the opponents momentum.

Dixie is not necessarily fighting for a spot with King K. Rool. Sakurai will either determine whether it is worth adding King K. Rool or not. I think he should be added.

Yeah, but it's a matter of how significant that tiny detail will turn out to be. You could find stuff like that for several characters.

Other characters have gotten in the game bringing less to the table than Dixie.

Nook and Hachi are in the top of the food chain, you know one is a sly character that is with the mafia and all the town has debts with him and the other was an official commander of the Orange Star forces probably trained in many martial arts and weapons and has guerilla warfare tactics.

Well if you wanted to get crazy with his moveset, you could throw in the Gas Gun from Diddy's Kong Quest. The one that screws over the opponents controls. The red and blue smoke shots I believe change the opponents speed. So while they wouldn't hurt too much, they can have a temporary effect confusing the opponent giving him an edge. It could be randomized between those three gas types, like Olimar pulling random Pikmin. Not to mention shooting spike balls from his blunderbuss.

If it's not too hard, maybe they can even be shot at a unique angle like they were in Diddy's Kong Quest. Sort of like how the spun in a radius, though said radius should be smaller than the one that was present in the boss battle. Maybe give him a dash attack based on one of his boss fights too. I wonder if he'll have anything fancy for his grabs though, I can't see anything specific in my head.

Mix those multiple forms into one, and you have someone with a gigantic moveset potential. Not Isaac level, mind you, but a close second

Most people seem like they are pretty reserved when it comes to Donkey Kong discussion. Mostly because there's only like, two really good options but I think the point still stands.

Also, If K.Rool is added, his second costume should be the Kaptain K. Rool version.

K. Rool probably deserves the placement the most if only for the amount of fan demand he has the world over. He's now the second most wanted character not confirmed currently for Smash 4 isn't he? Since Megaman was confirmed I mean. I see what 3B is getting at but K. Rool's overall importance, popularity and iconicness(not a word) should probably elevate him beyond his moveset being a mixed bag of others.

Dixie and Diddy have a lot of overlapping potential, but they both have enough to work with that they can be completely unique characters as well, with probably only a few A attacks and general height and weight properties being similar. Ofc Dixie could just be a semi-clone, but she, like K. Rool, also has the potential to be unique.

And it's a bit silly to think K. Rool doesn't have uniqueness in a potential moveset. Even if some of his attacks might be similar on paper to existing attacks, their function could obviously work a bit differently than what already exists in Smash. Just because he has a blunderbuss doesn't mean it has to work like existing guns, just because he has a crown boomerang doesn't mean it has to function like Link's, just because he has a helicopter thingy doesn't mean it has to work like... Snake's recovery or something of that nature.

my hope is for both K Rool and Dixie. both are more deserving than other characters deem as "likely", Donkey Kong can warrant 4 spots, and both have enough potential to be unique in their own rights.

Just to throw it out there, I've been trying to come up with a solid and unique moveset for K. Rool.

Standard Special: Blunderbuss (fires a cannonball)

Side Special: Crown

Up Special: Helicopter Pack (free movement for a few seconds)

Down Special: Kremling (works kind of like Marill, but slower with higher knockback and power)

Final Smash: Gangplank Galleon (rains cannonballs)
