I guess I like Roy more and I like Anna more, but Chrom and Lyn are more likely additions.

What's Smashboards without a little "healthy" debate about Fire Emblem characters?

As long as we are still on the topic of FE, what would cause more controversy?

Roy and Chrom being in along with Ike and Marth, or Ike and Marth being the only FE rep?

Are Smashboards members in general just really big FE fans? It seems like we have this discussion every other day.

That is the order that seems the most logical. I would actually replace Lyn and Chrom; however, I honestly think Awakening did a lot for the series/franchise and thus it will inevitably be important to Nintendo. I am not sure if this justifies Lyn over Chrom (assuming we get Roy that is)... but it is my opinion. If it were up to me (and I had to make realistic decisions).

No Sword of Seals. Also, Ike and Roy both got fire. So still boring.

Best Chrom could bring is his Lance and apperantly, he also has a shield. And it's not like they are gonna use those for more than 1 move. At best.

Marth and Ike can return. I think any other sword user should be from another series. If Sakurai MUST add another, I can see Roy returning as a clone of Marth with a couple different moves and different stats.

Marth already returned though. And yes, Ike over Chrom any day of the week. Roy as a returnee is also something I'm not opposed to. Not at all.

Am still mad that Tropical Freeze only let's Player 1 play as Donkey Kong. I really wanted a Diddy and Dixie tagteam again. Then again, nothing ever will come close to DKC2's greatness... But this would be a cute way to at least TRY you know?

It has a small chance. I would welcome it with open arms though, I love K Rool and Dixie would make a nice Diddy semi clone

DK is Nintendo's 4th biggest franchise by a landslide. The fact it only has 2, the same as a small series like MOTHER, is very confusing to me.

Quite likely. It all depends on if K.Rool was considered as the first DKC character they added. With a lot of focus on Dixie Kong at the moment, it's quite clear she's a natural choice. But both have been suggested many of times, both where popular suggestions for Brawl and their popularity held off till now. Even after Returns, which featured neither of these characters.

If Sakurai just went and choose Dixie right away, I think the King might be out of luck... Then again, Sakurai seems to respect the series to a good degree. Just look at DK and Diddy's roles in Subspace Emisarry, it was very close to their canon personalities, and they had quite big involving roles in the story. And this was when Donkey Kong Country itself was quite dead, it was after an era of major dissapointments as Donkey Konga, Mario vs Donkey Kong and DK Jungle Beat.

If K.Rool did indeed made the cut already, I can easily see them adding in Dixie as a last minute clone. So am quite hopeful to see these characters. And despite what many people think, these 2 are actually my most wanted newcomers. Maybe Mewtwo only triumphing Dixie, but be assured King K.Rool is my #1. Not Impa. I even want Isaac more than Impa easily.

Whats really surprising is that they didnt even get a second rep until Brawl, and Diddy was that choice. Dixie and K Rool are the only options left for the series as well. A 3rd DK rep I can pretty much guarantee that happening. They are both deserving of 4 slots and its warrented. DK is one of Nintendos big franchise, I believe behind only Zelda and Mario.

Seriously, DK Diddy Dixie and K Rool conpletes the series and they wouldnt have to add anyone else after that. You got your main character, sidekick, villain and femme fatale.

Pretty low, if Sakurai wanted to do only original characters this time. (Which I want really)
But I love Dixie though.

I felt like Diddy should of been in Melee, I least we got him in brawl, before, I was into Fire Emblem and Mother, my top Nintendo franchises were Donkey Kong (with my favorite character being Diddy) and Pokemon. Anyways, even though, by my posts it doesn't seem like I'm a big K. Rool supporter, but I'm kinda actually am. I just don't talk about it much since on here everything to say about him and other highly wanted characters have been established.

That's pretty much how I feel. We should at least get one more. Though between K. Rool and Dixie, I don't know exactly which of the two are more feasible.

Dixie seems like a good choice for a later development character, being both a popular choice and still having a few things to work with to have new attacks in her own moveset. Where as King K. Rool has popularity. On top of having more unique weapons at his disposal. Namely that old-timey gun. But he'd likely would need to be added earlier in development, since he lacks any major similarities to any of the character already present. So no being a semi-clone.

Of the two, I kinda want to see K. Rool more. He'd be more different. But both are good choices in my book. Anyone else from Donkey Kong will just be embarrassing themselves. Well, maybe not Donkey Kong Jr., but I think he's dead, buried next to Stanley the Bugman.

What's weird about this still is that Dixie and K.Rool got trophies, Klaptraps also made appearances on 2 stages. And those stages where clearly inspired by Rare-created Donkey Kong titles. Rare was even listed in the credits of Melee. I really think they should've made Diddy playable in Melee yes. But the comment on the Brawl Dojo stating 'DK's little buddy finally makes his entry.' makes me think Sakurai shares this statement. I was seriously let down that Melee didn't have Diddy back in the day.

Dixie was going to be included in Brawl, her moveset is most likely already planned out, and she can borrow resources from Diddy's model to make her a quick build when it comes to development. I think that Dixie is a lock.

King K. Rool has the moveset potential and popularity. It is just up to Sakurai whether he thinks the villain should be included.

"What Sakurai thinks" is probably one of the most nerving things because he basically gets the last word on everything, meaning what we say might not actually happen. Which is why people often label his choices as random and convoluted, which is actually the case in several ways.

Talking about K. Rool and villains overall? Well, I think this game could be more directed towards adding the big villains like K Rool, Ridley, and too an extent, Mewtwo.

I dont see any large reason to add Dixie since she doesn't really bring in anything other than a female, but I think having DK, Diddy, K rool, and Dixie is a solid cast of DK characters.

I would love if they made a "Smash Shop" where you can buy stuff like songs, costumes, and Assist Trophies, and maybe even a stage or two. You can use the coins you get when clearing All-Star, Adventure, Classic, etc.

Cranky can be the own of the shop. I know it's a pipe dream but it would be really cool to see in the game.

I'm sure they can make a full-fledged unique moveset for Dixie if they wanted to. If they will or not, that's another question.
