Yes. There are possible newcomers happy to bring their own swordplay to Smash. It seems like effort is better spent on these characters representing new worlds than a middle-ground Fire Emblem character.

Yeah especially if the Dojo gets up again. I hope that happens. The Dojo provided daily topics. I remember the announcement of Sonic, I couldn't stay off of here. Other great announcements were Olimar, Diddy Kong, Pokemon Trainer, Online Multiplayer (which ended up being crap), and Stage Builder.

That's a major reason I'm excited for SSB4's DOJO. If it begins closer to release, we'll receive higher-quality updates due to the larger amount of content returning from Brawl. If it begins earlier, we'll get the info we crave sooner, though probably with a few "You must recover"s thrown into the mix. And even then, those are hilarious in retrospect.

First off, I'm like 100 pounds heavier than you, but there's also the possibility that you're still a teenager and are not finished growing so you may have more width to go. Second, I personally believe it depends on your personality as well as your build. Personally, I have a TKD, Tai-Chi, and Monkey Kung Fu background (the TC helps a lot with learning actually).

Along with what Manly recommended, I'd recommend applied Tai-Chi if you can find it.

And track will really only build muscle in the legs, but I can't say for certain as I never did track. Rather, I've done body weight exercises since I was 16 and martial arts training (again) since I was about 21.

No, upper muscle building can be extremely important if you do throwing events (shot put, discus, etc.)
And yes I am a teenager, hence I called my self a 5' 10" 110 lb ish teenager

I usually think of someone being fast as someone who moves around at rapid speed.
I think being quick is more like, no can touch you. To be good at maneuvering around people, or dodging

Being fast is more for affiance, and being quick is more for defense

Agile and/or nimble are probably the synonyms for "fast and greatly controlled movement" you're looking for. The word lissom also works but no one uses ye olde English words outside of college level Shakespeare courses so don't be that guy/girl.

Either way, all of these can be understood as fast moving depending on the connotations of the audience so whatever, lol.

The Reddit Smash Bros community is a fairly balanced mix of casual and competitive players from all 3 games along with people who are hype for the upcoming titles, like many here. I mostly go on to check out Melee vids but there's solid content for all games. Some of the Smash 4 threads (which do pop up from time to time) have had fresh ideas which I have brought over to this site's general discussions.

I would definitely recommend subbing to it and swinging by every now and then.

Just gonna go off topic for a bit, but this is too good to pass up...

PS4NOGAEMS was just announced, the only decent games shown are already multiplat. Destiny and Watch Dogs are on PC and PS3 as well. Social Networking the console, Gaikai, ohohohoho, the fanboy tears were delicious.

Capcom's new IP is a Dark Souls ripoff. Killzone rehash, Infamous rehash, generic racing game, WiiMusic ripoff... Wow... I feel it's just deserts for "WiiU is not a next gen console."

Looks like Nintendo has a strong future ahead of itself...

Just gonna clarify, I don't hold ill regard toward Sony, I like and own a PS3 and PSP, I've just been putting up with annoying Sonybronies from NeoGAF all week long and felt like having my very much deserved laugh.

Knowing how Sony works, the PS4 is going to have a rough time due to marketing blindness and incompetence. But I do hope for the best, not perfection but at least making an attempt. The last thing needed is another situation like the Vita.

It just did. Watch Dogs was confirmed for WiiU in the ScrewAttack Stream.

The Braid Puzzle game look meh to me, agreed on Diablo 3 though, that was a dumb decision, it was a terrible game to begin with.

Yeah, hope for the best, competition is always good, and I prefer Sony over Microsoft. At least Sony has Bungie support this time around. Still, as it stands, Sony is in a worse position than Nintendo was with the WiiU launch. If they don't create hype this E3, they're in trouble.

Still, the way things look, it seems Nintendo will have a great holiday season.

I think the release date and price point would be more critical factors for how the PS4 sells than anything else. It does seem to me that its any different from the PS4.

What I find amusing (or perhaps pitiful) is how the Square-Enix representative basically said "there will be Final Fantasy on the PS4" and basically showed nothing. They did not even manage to release Versus XIII during this generation (they should simply rebrand the game as FFXV). Square-Enix definitely fell very hard during this generation.

I can't think of a single home console game they released this generation (I am not talking about any games they published as a result of owning Eidos) that was critically acclaimed and loved by much of the fanbase.

I think how Nintendo does this holiday season in regards to the Wii U will be largely dependent on what software they manage to get out for it (if they at least manage to get Mario Kart Wii U released they will definitely do fine).

I did see the games themselves, and outside of Sonic (which will more than likely also be on Wii U) I can't say I'm currently interested in any of the current game lineup.

Also, that whole "it buys games for you based on preferences it monitors" was a huge turn off for me. Don't even get me started on the social networking things either.

Release date wasn't confirmed, but implied for this Holiday season. It seems they're rushing to push out the new console as they didn't even showcase it, and the demos were shown on PCs.

Price wasn't mentioned at all. The specs weren't either, just "8Gigs of RAM." Looking at the demos there doesn't seem to be much of an improvement from the PS3, which leads me to believe the PS4 will have similar specs to the WiiU, maybe slightly higher. Which means good news for WiiU, bad news to Xbox if it decides to push graphics. As for what price it might have, well looks like it won't be 599USD again, but it'll probably cost more than a WiiU imo, especially since the WiiU is rumored to have a price drop soon.

I found the SE presentation to be laughable as well, there have been rumors of SE working on something big for Nintendo, so it's no surprise they are losing interest in Sony. Especially since VersusXIII will release for the PS3, along with GTA5, both of which imo will hurt PS4 sales.

The Capcom game looked promising at first, but then struck me as a Dark Souls ripoff. Oh well, it'll likely go multiplat as well, since Capcom never said it was exclusive, but rather mentioned it would debut on PS4.

Other than that, all they have as exclusives are the Indie game (which will likely go multiplat), the WiiMusic game, Killzone which no one cares about, some racing game, the Infamous prequel, and a potential FF title whose fate and release are unknown.

Dang, as a somewhat Sony fan (I do have a PS2,3, and PSP), this is really disappointing to hear about. I can't tell if they're in a worse spot than when the Wii U was revealed or not.

The Wii U was mostly met with skepticism, mainly due to what it was capable of doing. The PS4 has been a concerning factor ever since rumors leaked of using no used games, which is now going to be amplified due to the revealed information.

Basically the Wii U was met with shrugs, while the PS4 is being met with controversy. Fanboys crapping on each other aside, of course.

Sony use to be smarter than they are being about PS3 and PS4. They have made some market blunders after controlling the video game world for a while. Always a little sympathy for Sony after what Nintendo did to them.

Xbox will pump something better out. They had the best system in the last generation, I admit even though I never owned an Xbox. I was a Wii only person.

Reasons why, besides Chrom more than likely, Fire Emblem should have someone that does not use a sword to be a newcomer. Helps rep the series better because only having swords is giving it a false image. There are many more classes.

Killzone 4 really didn't look much better than the X trailer, Project Cars trailer, the Zelda demo, and the bird demo. It looks like it could be done on the Wii U.

The Wii U, PS4, and 720 is the PS2, Gamecube, and the Xbox gen all over again. Very similar in terms of looks and possibly power.

I wonder if Moore's Law is at play here. On paper the next X-Box and PS4 are a generational leap over the Wii U, yet at least two people here are saying that the software for the PS4 does not look like a noticeable leap over the PS3.

I am not sure if this is fanboyism, or if indeed at this point graphical leaps are much less noticeable now. If its the latter, I don't think casual gamers will be sold on the PS4 and next X-Box, but then again brand strength makes useful idiots.
