Can someone help please

I used to love her and now I’ve hopped back in after some time my fishing rod NEVER seems to land. I can’t stop them approaching, I can’t edge guard, all I seem to do now is get the odd rare grab. I’m the air it just seems to drift towards me

Any tips would help!
