Rivals of Aether's alpha version releases to thr public, in an early access form, in less than a day. This version includes all of the current revealed characters, four player battles, AI computers to play against, and a 1v1 matchmaking with friends on Steam.
This matchmaking system allows people who know each other to practice while not in the same room, or to duke it out just for fun.
This system also gives us the ability to run the new... Rivals of Aether Online Crew Battle System! (RACS)
This will run similar to all other crew battle systems. Get a group of people together, near or far, register your crew in the comments below, with names of all of the crew members and characters they play, and find another crew to battle!
"If you want your crew to participate in a lot of crew battles, don't just wait for other crews to pose challenges! Challenge them yourself. This will make other crews want to pose more challenges in the future, making the activity on this section flourish.
On that note, if you want to join a crew, don't be afraid to ask a crew's captain, if a certain crew interests you. Posting in the thread, something along the lines of "What crew needs members? I wanna join one" will get you nowhere. Think of it as a job application. Very rarely will crew captains look around the thread for crew members. So go for it! :3"

3 or 4 stocks, depending on whether the poll is currently in favor of. In two months the poll will end, and that will be the stock amount.
All stages are allowed at the moment. As time goes on, some may be eliminated depending on how they affect gameplay.
No time limit, as at leaat one player needs to lose all of their stocks.

Each crew battle win constitues adds one point to your rank. Each loss is minus one point.
