Rick (the Hampster) for Brawl!

He's a popular character in the Kirby series, and I, for one, would love to see him in Brawl (next to King Dedede, that is). After all, you can't have too many Kirby characters!

make a moveset, a background, facts and reasonings on why you want him in, other than just your opinons.

Rick isn't a very popular character; that's where you're wrong.

I like rick and he was on the TV show, so people who watch the kirby anime might recognize him without playing the game

Not THE main, but he is essential for puzzles in KDL 2 and KDL 3. Also, in KDL 3, you NEED to have him to advance the in story for one part

False.

In the long shot, I don't see him as a character either, but maybe a stage function, or trophy or whatever replaces the trophy (assuming they keep a collectible like items series thing going)

Well, you know, there's a little yellow mouse and a few pink puffballs in SSB, so it's not entirely that strange.

Who needs a moveset? Seeing a little brown and white hamster running around is reason enough for me! Seriously, though Rick is a good idea, and one that I tried to suggest to Sakurai at least once, back when the Japanese Smash Dojo was still taking suggestions. (Yes, it's doubtful that anyone even read the English stuff OR our attempts at entering Japanese names for the characters.)

Of course, that was before they announced Meta Knight, so I doubt any side characters like Rick have much a chance. MAAAYYYBE King Dedee, but don't count on it. Read my sig for Character's I'm interested in seeing. Some people were just like "meh" about Zelda WW, but those of use who loved it, REALLY loved it. WW Link is arguably the most expressive, entertaining character ever. Plus he stands apart from TP Link enough that having them both wouldn't be redundant at all. (Much better then Y Link and Adult Link, that were nearly the same in comparison.)

I have to admit, I think King Dedede has more of a chance getting in, but Rick is seconds on my list when it comes to Kirby characters!

Although, as I see it, the odds are Gooey will be in, I think, judging by the polls I've seen.

GO RICK!!! WOO HOO!!! Man, I love that little guy. Using him in Kirby's Dreamland 2 for original GB was awesome! Too bad no one else seems to care, other than the few on this thread.

Yeah, King Dedede is my #1 choice and my most wanted character. But Rick's my second favorite Kirby character, although Gooey's pretty popular, and he's Kirby's best friend...

Anyway, I'm trying to think of good moves for Rick. Anyone got any ideas?

Hey, it's okay.

Even if he's not a playable character, he'll be in the game somewhere.

Perhaps in the background, like Cranky Kong was for one of the previous stages!

But I'm still all for Rick! Go you tough hamster, go!

No. No Rick.

We don't even have Dedede yet. I highly doubt we'll have any more than Metaknight & Dedede. Remember, he only had one Kirby character in Melee, I doubt he would add like the ridable hamster and goey and a bunch of other stupid side characters now. He will probably add Dedede, and move on.

Maybe in 2 smashes or so when they run out of character ideas and he wants to make the roster comparable to a DBZ game. Or maybe, though doubtfully, as a downloadable.

To the Nancies up there, Rick is very popular, has a fanbase, is a main character in the old Kirby games, and is playable (at least in the game I played). I couldn't think of a moveset, but hey, HAL gave Captain Falcon and fox a moveset. So it is possible.

This would rock, but Rick is prime AT material. He would appear, and roll across the screen for a while, doing massive damage and causing huge knockback to anyone he touches.

i'll agree with you that he has low chances, but i think he would be an awsueme PC, and i would master him just to pwn people with a hamster. and i am pretty sure that if they do online updates, he'll be one of the first new pc's

He doesn't have a big fanbase, he'll probably be an assist trophy if he makes it in. I wold expect a more known character like Dedede to appear, but I doubt any Kirby character other than the title character and Meta Knight will appear.

You're telling me... you should go see the thread I made on this topic. I think you'd agree with it.

And yeah, Rick has zero chance of being a PC. He's just not important enough. And if they start to add PC's in online updates I will be furious. Stages, maybe. Characters, no. This isn't a Blizzard game.
