I Don't really need to apologize so...

PLEASE MODS!! this this thread somehow spirals downward into flame and despair, close ASAP!!

We've known for a while about my music, and we've seen the stages. Of course we're all wondering how many, how much, and from where as we post our favorites, concepts, and wish lists. Personally, all of this history has inspired me to go back and replay some of the classics rather than tackle this wave of holiday hits. ((THAT and i don't currently have a next-gen system!!:chuckle::chuckle::chuckle:))

There are some games i've never played, a few of which i cannot name as i will be persecuted, ever so violently. I'm taking it upon myself to go back in time to fill my head with fandom, mostly for myself. The song of Mach Rider, the fun of balloon fighter, the stages of all the zelda's. Anxious about brawl?? Yes. I'm sure there will be many surprises, and with the inclusion of some of there "WTF!?!" songs and stages :X-Tunnel Scene, Balloon Fighter Fish in The Summit, Smashville: i feel even more inspired to take in as much vg history more so than ever.

FLAME ON!!

whats the point of this thread?
I almost asked, but I realized what he meant: Brawl has inspired him to play other games, mostly classics.
I know what you mean: Melee got me interested in Metroid and FE, and I might get Kid Icarus on VC.

I know what you're talking about; Smash 64 helped encourage me to try some new franchises and learn more about some of the ones I've already played, and the series as whole has continued to have this effect on me.

I actually wanted to play Mother 3 after seeing Lucas and all the Claus fans in this forum but apparently there isnt a full translation yet. I have replayed Kirby Superstar and Earthbound because of the excitement for this game.

I know what you're talking about... Kinda... Just between you, me, and all the people who read this post, I've never played a 2-D Sonic game not on the DS.

I know, I know, everyone, their grandmother, and their grandmother's dog have played one.

I played Rush, and I don't even like handheld games that much. But, Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was the best.
I also wanted to play a Mother game, but I don't know how/where/when to get one.

*nods* Agreed. A lot of the things that were referenced in Melee and Brawl, I have taken the time to go back and play... if I had it, or grab from the Virtual Console. Speaking of, has anyone else noticed that Sakurai has encouraged people to play the games these people hail from on that? Most, if not all of the referenced games that appear on N64 and earlier have started to show up on the VC. Clever little marketing scheme, but effective, as I do rent and buy out of curiousity! Kid Icarus is a fun little diversion all right.

The only legal way is to find a Super Nintendo and find Earthbound.

See?? Tons of gamers have dark secrets-- personally, it's odd to hear someone say "i've never played a metroid game" and i'm sure i'd get shot for never having played/owned/beaten ff7

i saved up 2 years my own allowance to buy my n64 and banjo kazooie. 2.50 a week -- i tried my **** hardest

does that mean i'm going to go back out of my way to try all of them?? no, i don't think i could play mach rider, metroid 2, or knuckles chaotix for very long, but the ones i suspect might make a brawl cameo in some form ((Ex. Sonic 3)) i want to be able to hear a song in a star fox stage, never played 64, got halfway on dinosaur planet, and say "hey it's that song!!"

right now im discovering the minish cap :chuckle:
======================================
the game itself is an evolving tribute to nintendo and etc.
Footstool hop= Mario Games
Items in general = Zelda, to me at least
SSE team = Exactly like kirby superstar, 2p mode
trophy stands = Pokemon

i can't want to see what else they show us!!

Haha,I remember my goal was to collect a game from each character's series, mainly the ones in the info on 64.
So far I've done well, but havn't gotten Earthbound or Ice Climbers,I think that's the only one I still need.

Otherwise I'd never would've tried Game&Watch,Fire Emblem,F-Zero,and Metroid.

Your Conscience
I'm definetly having a Nintendo renaissance. I always had a PS2, but I'd go over to my friend's houses just to play N64 or Gamecube. I finally bought a wii, and now I'm discovering I was a nintendo fanboy all along.
