I've heard of this problem before, so there must be a solution... Basically, I just put Pichu v1.999 and Mario+ into my SD card. When the match is over, or there's a "No Contest," it freezes on a black screen. I know this has been said before by other people, but how do I fix this?

EDIT: Fixed it! Turns out all I had to do was defragment my SD card.

>.> That's not the problem. I've had that problem before, but this is different.

My results screen doesn't even show up. When the match is over, it goes to a black screen and freezes. I never see the results.

And don't lock this topic, because that comment didn't help me in the slightest.
I still need a solution.

Did you make your own .gct file?

You may have forgotten to toggle Custom Random.

Same solution.
It'd do that if I held buttons.

And eventually I stopped doing that.

Of course it'd be cool if you gais could fix it.

Are you saying that I have to let go of all buttons when GAME! appears on the screen? Also, that would mean that ending a match early is impossible, because you need to hold down buttons to quit. The freeze occurs directly after the match ends (either by normal means, or quitting). By this I mean, at the end of the match, it says GAME!, then the screen goes black. This isn't in the Results stage, it's before.

Hm.........
I thought you had the same problem I had.
Which was just quitting, where I had to release all the buttons as soon as I pressed start while holding all the other buttons.....

Nah, this affects normal victories, too. I'll test some options. Here are some theoretical solutions:

1. Defrag SD card.
2. Use another SD card.
3. Use an unedited version of the Results Stage.
4. Get USB Loader (only if problem is with Brawl disc).

Stuff, it could be a costume you are using. Or it could be pichu.
I've tried it with Pichu v.s. Ganondorf+ on a stage loaded with Dant's Alt. Stage loader. Then, I retried with different characters on Final Destination. I know that I've only used Pichu for one of those occurances. I think this was most likely caused by the Alternate Stage Loader, but I have no proof.

Don't hold down or press any buttons after it says GAME. It doesn't affect resets for some reason.

I promise this will prevent future freezes aside from the random crash every now and again.

Hmm... I'll try that. But why exactly did this happen? And shouldn't there be a cure or something?
