Yes, I'm sure that this was talked about a little bit when the update came out, but while cleaning out my trailer I had a sudden revelation.
Do you guys remember the November 2007 Conference video that was released on the Dojo? And in that video, there was a scene where you see Mario fighting Petey Piranha. Much later, an update on the trophy stand revealed not only that Rayquaza was a boss, but that boss battles can be replayed. Of course, Sakurai said he was still working on that.
Now, no offense Sakurai, but I will never believe you again.
The scene with Mario battling Petey was not confirmation that you can have it be Kirby who meets Pit and Mario saves the Princess (this idea was thrown out on IGN), or in other words, editing the plot of the story. No, that scene confirms an update that would come a month later. Boss battles are already replayable. And that just makes me wonder, what else have we been told that leads us off in the wrong direction?
