Not sure if this is the right place... but here.

I tried removing the background from this ins paint.net using the magic wand and tolerance tools, but as you can see, it still has a white background.... Anyone know how to fix this? D:
It was also saved as a png.

Edit: Uhhhhhhhhhh ok why is the background gone here, but not in my avatar? ._.

Heres the original image if you can just delete the background entirely, so that it's not just transparent. I don't know how to do that though, lol.

Thanks in advance.

Back when I was using photoshop in Design class, we used the extraction tool to remove pictures from backgrounds

You could just erase each individual pixel as well

Yeah, for some reason, if you upload an image with a transparent background as your avatar, but the image exceeds the pixel limit, SWF adds a white background when it gets automatically shrunken down. Make sure the version you upload as your avatar is 125 px at its widest edge if you want to keep it transparent.

Magic Wand gets a lot of the work done but for the really precise cleaning up you might have to do it manually by erasing the edges out.

For questions and stuff like this you may want to try the Tutorials/Q&A thread instead of creating a new one. http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=290735

Try using this, hopefully it should work.
