Booked at the 'Tropicana Casino and Resort' in Atlantic City, NJ, the venue is nothing short of amazing. In addition to its proximity to the beach, several restaurants are within walking distance and hotel rooms are complete with flat-screen TV's, video game consoles and free WiFi. The resort also contains 123,980 square feet of gaming space.
$4500 is to be distributed between the 3 games - $1000 for each single event and $500 for doubles. However, pot bonuses are to be recalculated 1-2 weeks prior to the event based on entry numbers, meaning that $4500 is merely the current minimum. The entry fee is currently set at $10.
Gameacon, a gaming convention for independent game developers and their fans, will accompany Smash at the venue and attendees will be able to freely visit either event. Gameacon will feature a Virtual Reality Village, Cosplay and a chance to discover loads of cool new games.
