in my small corner of the world there are only two smash players and the next closest smashers are 45-60min away. i want to use the release of brawl to draft some locals into smashboards and form a local community for some consistent practice. i'm hoping to write up something and distribute it to the lines of people waiting for brawl on that special day. problem is, undr thinks i am crazy to believe anyone would wait in line when they can preorder. i have never tried to get a game on release day before, so i'm clueless. i did some research, which is impressive for me since i am one of those lazy minded people
all of the local stores that preorder (best buy, gamestop, toys-r-us, circuit city) open at 10 or 11. walmart and target don't offer preorders and open at 8.

my question is; will anyone wait in line to get the game 2-3 hrs earlier than they would if they preordered it? without lines of people to preach to i will have to wait for the locals to discover smashboards themselves (months-years-never)

I think it safe to say that if they knew the release date if Brawl and got it on the first day, they will go there 2-3 hours earlier. But if there are only two Smash fans nearby, then why make flyers?

There's only 2 that he knows of. I'd make some fliers and stick em around outside the store you plan to get Brawl at (but not on the store itself as they can be a bit narky about that, unless you ask of course.)

And even if no one else is, they'll see them when they go to pick Brawl up later.
