Rebirth IV: 111 Entrants! - Livonia, MI - 6-6-15

Guys I can't thank everyone enough for attending Rebirth IV. We had an amazing turnout for the event and it is all thanks to you guys for showing your continued support of the Michigan Smash 4 scene. If you guys didn't know, we had a total of 22 setups at the event yesterday. This allowed for a lot of friendlies as doubles and singles died down. Tourneys like these don't run well without this many setups so thanks for that! The Singles event totaled at 111 entrants setting a new record for Michigan's Largest Smash 4 Singles tournament, along whopping 36 teams for Doubles. There were so many hype matches that happened throughout the day that it made it so great to host for you all.

First and foremost, shoutouts to Dakota, WuvS, for bringing a godlike stream as always. You are one of the biggest supporting structures for our scene and your work is phenomenal. I hope you have a great time on your week off and enjoy yourself at MSI.

Zack, Caleb, Phil I'm very glad to have you guys as my TO staff. You guys have great work ethic and this tournament would have been impossible if not for your efforts. Thanks again and I can't wait to see how much higher we go in the future.

Chicago and Ohio, thanks for the support coming to the event. When we have OoS presence a new level of hype emerges and we definitely saw that. As always please come back again, our doors are always open because we love to see our homies.

Regrahlt: As much as I wanted to face Lou Rich, I had some way better matches in losers and played some other people that I wanted to play, in a way I'm actually grateful for the upset.
Katakiri: I really didn't want you to make a run through losers like you always do. The Michigan Luigi's gonna stop you. I just need to work on my own record.
Jjrockets: I didn't like how I had to face you right after an intense set, but bracket needed to move. Our set was pretty silly but your diddy was pretty different from what I've fought before. I'm prepared now and am pretty confident next time we fight.
Mister Eric: I am actually curious how a bracket match would go, I wish we could've played more friendlies though, but oh well, I'm sure you're coming back to Michigan
Lou Rich: I wish we could've fought but oh well, I'm sure it would be pretty dumb but it could definitely go either way.
Ryuga: You get into it and start destroying like calm down. Come out to more events, Reddit apparently loves you.


Wasn't a bad run, but I think it could've gone better in a number of ways, but was a fun and intense tourney. Probably some of the most intense matches I've ever played.

Too bad I barely missed 3rd seed cause I'm an idiot D but it was fun... but hey.. my Amiibo got 3rd place XD that counts for something.
Can't wait for the next Rebirth, good games to everyone I fought. The Friendlies and random stuff was fun.

Afin: Pac-Man's dot trail has super armor at the end. Watch for that if you're gonna go for the gimp. You've got a pretty intimidating Ness going, though, and you were pretty good at catching those fruit!

TECHnology: I caught a few of your games. Keep up the good work with Meta Knight, bud. Also, that combo you had going with Smasher1001 was unreal!

I'll work on optimizing combos and quickening my reaction time, as well as my movement and not SD'ing. I hope we can play again soon, possibly on Thursday. I peaked REALLY hard in the middle of the tourney and wasn't too focused before pools or after bracket. I'll give you some adequate games maybe.
(And the only reason I was winning neutral is because I know Yoshi so well )
