Everybody needs a break. The game is done, Sakurai and his team just finished 2 1/2 years of hard work and need a year end break. They deserve it.

Every character on the Dojo IS NOT on the starting roster. A lot of them will be. Let's say around 15. And to that post with "the problem of what to do with hidden characters arises...". He probably meant all of the characters that he wanted in the demo but are hidden characters in the game. Remember what he said about "I guess we could put Sonic in there" right after he said that? Sheesh some people just don't take things in the right way.

The reason for the break is, Sakurai was planning to announce Captain Falcon on moday, and started to prepare the update. He thought a picture of Snake and Captain Falcon fighting would be good to put up..

Unfortunatly, the pure awesomeness of the two characters in a sigle fight messed up sakurai's power to update the site.

This is their Christmas break. See, the updates for the first week of Christmas were probably made week or two prior to Christmas. This means that no new updates were made during that period of time. IT bamboozles me thoguh because the Share Update showed today's date.

And for God sakes people, PLEASE don't start another "OMG THERES GONNA BE BIG UPDATE ON SUCH N SUCH DAY!!!!" hype again. There's not going to be anything special about January 7th's update. Please don't even start.

But yeah, maybe they're working on the strategy guide now? I'm sure there's going to be a limited edition guide for Brawl too. They could be sending out information to the company (whichever one is handling the guide) in the next couple weeks, so I think we may be seeing the final roster soon anyway.

And even if we don't, we'll have it on the 24th. Then from there, we only have two weeks to wait. (the longest two weeks of my life)

Sakurai has been working on this game for TWO YEARS, longer than any of the first two games, COMBINED if I remember correctly. He needs a break. Maybe getting his mind off of it will make it feel more... fresh in his head. Of course, during this time, they're just putting in some tweaks, but even then you need to put some thought into it... unless, of course, the game has gone gold, which is should be by now, since the Japanese release is VERY soon. In fact, I actually thought shortly before that notice update, "hm... I wonder how he can stand being away from family for this long?" He may not have been AWAY from family, but he hasn't had much time with them.

The last time I checked it was a couple days after the Sonic update. I wouldn't mind knowing how to unlock a character, but I would not want to know what the character was. I think of looking at the dojo is kind of ruining the surprise, well, at least for new characters any way.

Well I think it's a way of just not showing some things, because Nate B. did say he has been working on the Dojo for quite sometime. The updates are already made so them taking a vacation has nothing to do with it. This is for the hype.

Now that I think about it, it does seem pretty good to do. For example, You know Sonic is in the game. You go do something, then you complete it, then, what do you know? You are challenged by Sonic! Your plan is much better.

well, he said all 3rd party characters would be unlockable so obviously sonic and snake are unlocks, but they released them for publicity. And he said the demo is a limited roster. This is just my hunch, you dont have to agree with it. It just makes the most sence to me.
