REAL alternate costumes, confirmed!(?)

Wario is the ONLY one who has this "extra" costume option. No other character will have this kind of costume alternative.
The Dojo clearly states it; there is no argument. It is as clear as it could ever be, ever, ever.

Having said that, I really hope I'm wrong! It would be so appropriate and fun to see the different kinds of outfits they could all have! It does strike me as odd that Wario, of all characters, would be the one to get the extra costume option....

The only justification (that I can think of) for Wario being the only one with this option is that he is the only one who already has a really obvious alternative look to give him from a design standpoint- after all, I know I had always thought of Wario in the overalls as the "standard" Wario, so for him NOT to appear in the overalls seemed a little... not quite Wario enough, if that makes sense.

Technically the only thing the update says is that only Wario has a second costume. That much is painfully clear and can't possibly be contested unless there was a blatant mistranslation. You could argue though that it doesn't apply to the presence of separate characters as clones, like Ness/Lucas. But if something like that were done it wouldn't be through the color selection, and I think it's a big stretch now to hope for it.

Just because they may be delusional in thinking that the sentence may mean something different doesn't mean that they can't be allowed to have hopes. Seriously some people on this forum don't know how to let people have their dreams, no matter how far fetched they may be.

It is one thing to fantasize. It is totally different when people attempt to deceive the public into thinking there is still a chance.

Anyway, the chances of real alternate costumes appearing for characters other than Wario, especially after the sentence "Everyone can change colors, of course. But Wario alone is special..." really shouldn't be arguable.

Exactly. Too bad we couldn't get more. This is info, but it makes you wonder if Sakurai REALLY is connected to the fans. We ALL WANT alternate outfits over alternate colors, and Sakurai let the fans down. And yet we get seemingly useless and boring stickers. WTF? That sounds almost like a waste to me, now. It better have value to it, otherwise I'm blaming all stuff missing in Brawl on stickers! >_<

I know this type of stuff takes a lonnnng time, but he's already had about...let's see. May 05 or so to now. 2 years and 7 months = 31 months. Hmm...you think the delay would help add a few of these, but o well. Guess we won't get those extra characters snuck in without a spot. Poor, poor, poor Ness (I was hoping for a altnerate costume, since he's deconfirmed). Now, back to hating LUCAS!

And unless I see a 2nd alterante outfit update, I take this one AS FACT! It's pretty much gunareteed this is all we get.

Let's hope not. There's really not much basis for argument left with the Dojo's wording. This is not to say the Dojo reflects last-minute decisions (such as including alternate costumes for more characters), but there's nothing to discuss that can't be handled in the Dojo Update thread when it appears.
