I played Brawl at E For All and there is no Zora Link costume.Overalls Wario, this is awsome. Just hope the other characters have other costumes(Zora link etc...)
Methinks only Wario can do this fancy trick.DOJO said:Everyone can change colors, of course. But Wario alone is special...
Well, alt costumes are either
a) absolutely confirmed - why should Wario be the only character with an alt?
b) absolutely deconfirmed - each character has to be modeled twice, which would take up a lot of time for the graphics designers, so they only did Wario.
I'm leaning toward the first. Honestly, why would Sakurai favor Wario so much? Every character has at least one possible alt, and Wario might just have it by default - perhaps the others have to be unlocked.
Yeah, it's kind of tricky thinking, Wario has adopted his WarioWare look as his main one, and his classic overalls have become his alternative clothing. It somewhat separates him from the Mario series when he's wearing his biker clothing."Wario alone is special"; his special is to have a overall as his alternate costume?
While Mario (and Luigi?) have the overall as a main costume?
Stuff like this could happen with other characters. Certain Fire Emblem Playable characters could look like other Fire Lords from the series with alternate outfits and altnerate looks. There could be alternate Ike looks NOT at E for All, as the E for All demo of Brawl will probably be little like the final game, other then pyhsics. Look at Melee for example, and the demos and actual game were VERY, VERY, VERY diffrent (or so I hear! o_O).You need to be more thorough in your reading of the DOJO updates, people.

The demo is freaking old. The game comes out in one month in Japan. I think it is safe to say the game is finished if not being polished right now. It takes time to print out covers, duplicate the discs, package them, and ship them all over. This update cannot be any clearer. >_>Stuff like this could happen with other characters. There could be other characters, but don't get your hopes up.But the chances of that are basically none. So ya, remember that. Though the smash ball entry was VERY vague like that, and made it seem like you touch it, you get it. Hell, it was that way in Brawl's first showing, too! XD

*points at Dixie Kong as a alternate Diddy Kong outfit, but without the pony tail and THAT's IT! And proves his point*Read the update johnnie boy....
Diddy Kong had alternate colors, not costumes. You've proven nothing.*points at Dixie Kong as a alternate Diddy Kong outfit, but without the pony tail and THAT's IT! And proves his point*
And Dr. Mario is hardly any diffrent. Dr. Mario should be the same with Mario, seriously. AND THE SAME FOR ALL CUT CHARACTERS! But Dr. Mario seems to me as the only possible exception, sadly. Kinda lame, actually. >_<
You said it: "Without the pony tail". No pony tail, no dixie, it's only Diddy wearing pink, simple as that.*points at Dixie Kong as a alternate Diddy Kong outfit, but without the pony tail and THAT's IT! And proves his point*
They're only seeing what they want to see, not what's there. It's sickeningSo now this is gonna turn into an "Up until now" type debate when it was clearly stated that only Wario has an alternate costume? God, you people suck!
I've turned my wife into a logic-dashing monster!Hahaha, this thread makes me laugh. I love how people take a simple sentence, and turn it around to what they want it to say. Read the fine print. Wario is the only character that gets a costume. It's lame, we all hate it, but oh well...
EXACTLY, Buzz Sensei. It wouldn't be difficult to replace the Trainer (who DOESN'T BATTLE)...If anyone would get an alt costume besides Wario, I would place a bet towards PokemonTrainer. Maybe a "rival" model (as in "Gary/Blue", to counter-suit the "Ash/Red" model). But not likely.
You are pointing out your own flaws nicely. Making Dr. Mario would require adding pieces to him (long coat, equipment, etc.). No other color change has this to any real extent. Sure, textures change occasionally (like the logos on the back of CFalcon), but actual different costumes are a different story.Well the classic Wario has 4 outfits. Maybe Sakurai means that type of exception, so others wouldn't be too far fetch'd....hmm.... (I'm just thinking aloud, that's all).
@ Buzz
So is Dr. Mario. It's just Mario in a white Doctor's gown, new same pants, a dr. headband thingy, and a stethascope (or however you say it). While Dixie is a alternate color, Dr. Mario is pretty much the same. Stuff like that isn't too hard to do. In fact, it's probably easy to do, compared to having a gagillion character models like the game has. But it's odd-Wario's skin color changes, his gear is all moved around, and with Dr. Mario it's just added stuff. IDK what Dr. Mario would be considered, but it'd be a nice color swab, since poop Mario doesn't cut it (and it's brown! xD).
