i think he has around a 70% chance. the f-zero franchise needs more representation and a samurai, despite being a sword user, would offer some interesting game play. i just hope he gets a sword jump move, where you use the katana like a pogo stick and bounce around the stage landing on peoples heads.

Although he never even crosses my mind when I think about Brawl, now that I actually think about it his chances aren't that bad at all. He did appear in Melee's intro, and I'm pretty sure he appeared at least once, maybe twice, on the Toukoken. Sounds pretty good to me. 70% chance of appearing.

Yes, yes, I know. Fox never got out of the cockpit until Suckfox Adventures, but Starfox was a much more notable game, as it broke new ground for schmups. F-Zero didn't bring too much new to the racing genre, just did what had been done before well.

In the end, Goroh will be a lot of work and a lot of questionable moves in order to rep a franchise that sits behind a lot on the list of Nintendo's greatest. I think people are just interested because he had a trophy and a cameo in the opening movie. 5%

Capt. Falcon is basically in, otherwise Sakurai will be in one hell of a bad situation. As for Samurai Goroh, I give him a 83% chance, just because he is somewat of a villian. Plus he is probably one of the most wanted characters by F-Zero fans as a new reoresentative of their series, and it would be a mistake by Nintendo not to include another F-Zero character. His chances go down becuase there are other F-Zero characters, and Nintendo needs to consider that. Metroid and Kirby got the 2nd rep deal closed, and we should expect the F-Zero series to soon have the deal closed.

You mean not confirmed yet... There's no way in the Nine Hells that Nintendo's going to not represent it's biggest racing franchise (besides Mario Kart anyway...), not to mention that C. Falcon is one of the Original 12 and is a rather popular character in both installments thus far...

At any rate, Samurai Goroh is indeed the most likely additional F-Zero representative. He's one of the original 4 F-Zero (SNES) racers, he has been established as Captain Falcon's rival since the beginning, and he's pretty much the second most popular character in the series. Of course, that is not to say that he's against some pretty considerable competition, most notably Jody Summer (most probable F-Zero X representative, female character) and Deathborn (most probable F-Zero GX/AX representative, villain character), and let's not forget Doc Stewart, Pico, the Arrows, Black Shadow, Princia Ramode, and Phoenix being among other potential candidates. Because of his considerable competition, I can't give him more than 65%.

F-Zero is a well-deserving game that needs more reputation. Out of the originals that date back to the SNES F-Zero, Samurai Goroh has the most likely chance. I prefer him much more than the giant Black Shadow who looks like his spandex is about to 'splode any second. The series has had nearly as many games as StarFox, some awesome games like F-Zero GX. They may lack variation, but they execute the racing genre nice and clean. Plus, not everyone can say they've had their own anime series...

If F-Zero does get another rep, it proabily will be him. That being said, I have doubts if there will be another one. F-Zero is a racing game meaning the main focus/action is on the veichles not the actual drivers themselves. Do we really need two characters to represent this. I'd rather have another series get an overdue extra character such as Donkey Kong or another series get represented either newer or retro.

Samurai Goroh would most likely get the character spot if F-Zero gets another spot. However, I do not think the franchise will getanother spot.

People have to remember that there is not unlimited space for characters in Brawl. In addition to adding more characters from series, Sakurai has to give attention to other franchises.

So I say 30 percent.

With that said I would love it if he was in the game with a fresh moveset.

Finally! Took some time to make him argue-able.

I beg your pardon? You mean that expanding, for example, the FE line-up is MORE important than expanding the F-Zero line-up? I agree that FE is more important for Nintendo than F-Zero, but Falcon already had a spot in the first Brawl game and there were no FE characters in that game. And expanding Zelda and Mario, again? I prefer expanding a not-so-big-expanded serie more than expanding an already amazingly expanded serie.

I'm 100% behind this guy. He is the most important villain of the game. He has good potention of being a Brawler. He is heavy, but, looking at his body, he is also quite strong and he can use a katana. Combine fist attacks with it's katana and you got a great Brawler.

And what the hell is up with everybody saying that F-Zero focuses on race games SO there won't be another character? A race game is the same thing as an RPG or shooter. When it comes to Brawl characters, I don't think it gives a **** from what kind of game they come, as long as the game(s) itself have been good hits.

I give this guy a 85% chance. The games have been a great hit here as well in the USA and Japan. Falcon was added for his huge fanbase (that's also why he has his own anime) and Goroh is the 2th most beloved F-Zero guy. It's time to make F-Zero fans even more happy.

EDIT: And I really don't get it why all you guys say that F-Zero is not a big franchise for Nintendo... It's dammed important! Not as important as Mario or Metroid or whatsoever, but it sure is a big franchise! Seriously, how much do you guys really know about franchises...

I never really played F Zero except for the one on the GBA. Wow, that game is challenging! If there's gonna be a F Zero for the Wii and it's good, I might get it! I don't see why Samurai Goroh is the most deserving F Zero character, but he WAS in the Melee intro that counts for something.

He's also a samurai, which would give him a nice unique moveset but I'd rather have Takamaru instead. No offence on this guy, cause I don't know both characters but I'm far more intressted in retro characters I don't know than in "normal" characters which I don't know ya know?

But since everyone who's a F Zero fan says Samurai Goroh should be in, I say it would give him priority above all other F Zero characters not called Captain Falcon. I'm giving this guy a 55% change of appearing.
