I don't exactly have anyone to play with on a daily basis, so when I do play, I have to play against the NPCs. Who is the best NPC to play against? I started off playing against Fox, but switched to Falco because he is basically Fox but he seems to kill himself less.

When playing alone, you need to practice your tech skill. Wavedashing, L-cancelling, and other techniques that you will be using in a real match. Just keep on practicing your tech skill, even if you think that your tech skill is good, it can always be better. Try playing against most of the characters, to get a feel for their weight and their moveset.

Actually, forget about the waveshines lol, I thought you said you played as Falco lol.

No way, man. Space Animals are scary.

I have the fundamental skills down, but I seriously need to work on my tech stuff. I'm just afraid my hands are too spazzy for it. It's hard to get a good rhythm going for wavedashing.

Yeah it just takes practice, most of the tech skill stuff is like muscle memory to me. Solo practice is very important.

just takes lots of practice, i'm in the same boat as you so yeah, but you should practice against lvl. 3 fox/marth/falco/etc. as lvl three has the most "human" AI out of all the other lvls, when you get a little better in moving around, you should go on ahead and try to continually run away from any lvl 9 character (not any, but you get the point) this helps in moving around the stage and what-not

if you wanna practice edge techs, go to FD or YS against a lvl 9 G&W, when your off the stage and trying to get back he will continually spam d-tilt which hits fairly close to the edge, that way you can practice edge teching

if you want to practice survival DI, grab one of those bombs that stick to the ground and raise your percent and start practicing, just keep on jumping on it and doing it and see 'til what percent you die without any DI and what percent you die with survival DI

thats it for now, can't remember anything else
