Question on l-canceling

I was just wondering how good players who can consistently shffl do it. Do you guys press the L trigger all the way until the digital signal triggers? Or do you guys just press it down slightly for the analog signal to trigger. It seems as if whenever I press it down completely, I accidentally shield.

I press the R trigger all the way in. You only need to press the triggers for a brief moment before you hit the ground but you are probably holding it for a bit too long and thats why you are shielding

Just press it down lightly, otherwise it'll mess with your tech timing.

Lightly L/R, Doesn't matter for Z as long as input registers.
