Question about Bullet Arts

If I whiff, say, a forward smash, but I hold it long enough for the bullets to come out, does that stale the smash?

It does. Plus, if hit the Fsmash and hit with the bullet art of the same Fsmash, it will count as two Fsmashes in the stale list.
So this means you can unstale moves being using Bullet Arts. I think this is why you'll see Captain Zack use Bullet Art Fair1 once the opponent is off stage most of the time.
