Could be. You might be able to call the store and ask about it. The other option is to mod/hack your Wii and get a Melee iso. Instructions are in the Melee workshop.

You can buy a prepaid credit card and then buy a copy off of ebay. Otherwise I would do what Handorin says, pretty easy.

This thread has made me wonder what will happen 10 years down the line when copies of Melee, Gamecube consoles and controllers become even more scarce.

DVDs deteriorate in a few decades anyway, don't they? I guess we'll always have Wii's that can be hacked and loaded up with Melee .isos.

See if one of your friends has a copy that they won't miss, ask if you can buy it from them for like $20. That's cheaper than online, which is really the only other way.

Used game stores are no good unless you watch them like a hawk, since Melee copies get sold out very quickly after they're traded in.

When I bought my first Melee disc, it turned out to be an NTSC version. I live in a PAL region, so I don’t have any use for it. I can ship it to you, but I’m afraid shipping overseas will be kind of expensive.

Got mine at a local store in a mall for 39.95. Scratchless, Player's Choice and Manual. Pretty sweet.

I had the best luck when asking friends. Many of my friends don't play their gamecube anymore, so they would just give me their old copy. Otherwise, be willing to spend up to $60 on a game. Ebay and craigslist would have the cheapest prices. Amazon usually has them too, but for a much higher cost.

That is honestly still the most effective way i think, you can easily switch to brawl and project m without worry.

just paid 60 for mine on Amazon.
Was it new?

The feeling when you had melee as kid and it still works perfect.

Anyways maybe a local site like kijiji could help you get one people sell GameCube games all the time.
