PT made a small appearance in SSB?

Well, its more of an opinion rather than fact.

Pikachu sitting on a pokeball as ONE person walks by him. I always thought he was the trainer.

Interesting find. But no I don't believe so. They would have put PT in as a character had he actually been applicable at the time.

I hate to be a nit picker, but if you look at the shoes they don't QUITE match the actually PT from Brawl's shoes.

Pikachu is 1'4". He is too small in that video intro, as during Gameplay, Pokeballs are not that big compared to him.

And I always assumed that the person was just some random passerby...

I don't think Sakurai was even thinking about Pokemon Trainer back in 64. If he even were to make a cameo appearance, where's his appearance in Melee? It wouldn't make sense to appear in N64 yet none in Melee.

I think it's just a random pokemon trainer. Or just Pikachu standing next to someone with blue pants and sneakers. nothing else.

Yes it's an opinion

If it's Ash, then it's not Pokemon Trainer.

And since the Topic Creator posted a picture of ash, and saying he thinks it is ash, he pretty much owned himself in his own thread.

I think Ash would've been a cooler character than the generic PT too. The only problem is that Ash arguably originated in the Anime (or the Manga, depending on which country's exploits you follow).

Yea, It's why Pokemon Trainer is in.

In the orginal Gameboy color games, you play as a random generic pokemon trainer, hence why they didnt have ash in this one. Also, you also were given the choice to start with either squirtle, charmander, and bulbsuar, except i guess they want to give some variety and made them having 1st, 2nd, and 3rd evolutions.

Ash was simply based roughly on Red from how I understand it.

i actually heard a rumor that PT was originally planned for SSB but he got scraped.

it doesn't sound too impossible to believe since king D3 has been "planned" to be in SSB and SSB:M.
