I apologize in advance for the crudeness of my diagram here, and I also apologize if this could have gone in an existing thread, but I thought this deserved its own space and recofnition. This is what I put together using a demo screen and final release screen (of all unlocked characters). Both of my original screens were in proportion with eachother.

As you can see, in the top left is a box from the demo.
On the right you can see the final one.

To get the ratio of the the final box, from the original demo box, you have to shrink the demo box horizontally by 75%, and virtically by 69%.

So there, mathmatical proof that the final CSS boxes were NOT the same aspect ratio as the demo ones.

That's great!

What does this tell us
People were under the assumption that a 47 roster (plus a random slot) was the only possible outcome after we saw the demo Sm4sh select screen at e3, because they incorrectly summized that the select boxes didn't change ratio on Brawl. So this puts that to rest.
