no i think your suggestion has merit. i have now increased the hitbox on rest to be 3x as large.

Just to ask, I know it won't be included in demo2, but has there been any breakthroughs with ledge teching? I always loved being able to do that in melee, made the edgeguarding more dynamic.
I believe ledgeteching is a hybrid between the way it was in Melee and Brawl as of right now, but don't quote me on that.

I swear you asked this like a week ago, or someone else did at least.

The answer is no.

I think you may be confusing ledge teching with ledge occupancy. I'm meaning the situation where you get hit (marth's fsmash being a prime example), and you smash DI into the stage to tech, meaning you do a little hop and can attempt to recover again

But if you did that Jigglypuff will be overpowered. In order to allow the other characters to keep up with her, please make Fox's shine have the strength of a Warlock punch.

Good point. Let's make it do that much damage, but not have the current amount of knockback. Unless it's an aerial shine, in which case it's has 7x the knockback as a Warlock Punch.

loooooooooooooool that weird death glitch just gave charizard a strange advantage over the rest of the cast, if it remains unfixable before demo 2 tbh

What was the glitch? I'm surprised that you guys already managed to find the cause and fix it, but then again, it shows just how good the PMBR is. That's the first time that I've seen a glitch like that in all the years of Brawl hacking.

Toonlink basically got rocketed off the screen after being hit within close proximity of his bomb blowing up. I don't know exactly what causes it or if the bomb has anything to do with it but yeah.

The glitch was already explained. And it's no longer in the game. Calm down.

So at the risk of getting my head bit off, have all the landing detection bugs been fixed, or at least for the demo 2 characters?

So, not to beat a dead horse, but I agree with Marf. I don't like the direction Wolf has taken either. I've always felt wolf was more apt to have a great ground game and not a juggle game. I just don't like the design and feel kind of like it was a cop out.

I know you're all going to say that I haven't even tried it so why am I complaining, but that's a ridiculous argument in itself. I can understand what Wolf plays like from what I've read and seen. I don't like the general design of him as a character. I feel like Wolf should be a great punisher and have a potent combo game instead of an juggle game, sort of like falcon. Maybe make him a brawler of sorts, jabs and tilts setting up some ground combos and lead into nair->shine or grabs. I'll try him out, but I don't think the style fits the character.

@Strong_Bad: where was it explained?.. I can't see it anywhere... I don't care that it's no longer in the game... i wanna know anyways...

If you don't like a character's design then don't use them. There are 28 others to choose from in demo 2.

MaxThunder: Looks like memory from the BR was what I was thinking of. Basically if you glide as you're about to hit the blastline, Charizard respawns. It's been fixed though.

Strong Bad... That's just a cop out for explaining. The PMBR does this a lot.

You've received a lot of controversial feedback for character like wolf because he feels wrong and you haven't addressed it; nor have you taken into account WHY we don't like him. Saying 'if you don't like him, don't play him' is that same as the brawl players getting mad a project m and saying just play melee. it's not an argument at all. Most of the brawl newcomers designs are either gimmicky or nothing special... Everyone either feels over the top or like sheik. The only ones I can say turned out decently are DDD, Wario and Lucas. Everyone else looks like a simple pick up and play character or a poor design (aside from Lucario).

Shall we push the release back a week so we can work on those?

:phone:
I think it would be better to get the demo out on time.. Me personally I'm in suspense and want to be surprised by who makes it in and who doesn't for the second demo. I have an Idea on who wont be in but the others just makes it more exciting :)

You should prolly stfu until you actually get to play as wolf in demo 2 and give some feasible feedback. What you're saying isn't constructive nor relevant. You're blindly making assumptions about a character you've never used(I assume you are a waiting fan like I am and not PMBR :)"

Glad to see you guys are still working on Pika.

Last time I played w/ Chineseahh, Pika's up-b lengths were not a match to Melee's.

Most everything else felt good and he felt nearly done though

I dont get why people have a problem with wolf. he has a meteor dair, basically a wearker but effective falco dair , he has a nair thats like fox's dair. his up air is like falco's up air but hits more side ways not used to kill. his bair hits like fox's nair, just not a sex kick, but it seems to have about the same strength. He doesn't need the sex kick cause he got a semi reliable killing b move. Falco got a killing b move too but i think wolfs is better. his dsmash is like the other spacie main smash moves. he has all the tools of a spacie minus a sex kick. His combo moves don't look as one directional like fox(sideways) and falco(up,down)
(i kow they not completly one direction but you get what im saying.)

and i'll reiterate he was not trained with fox and falco and he doesn't need to be a clone. (don't argue with me about clones either <_<)

I believe he was arguing not that wolf was not similar enough to the spacies, but that his design felt like a cop-out, and was too similar to the spacies. I also imagined wolf with more of a falcon like ground-combo oriented character, so i see where he was coming from
