No one submitting Toy Story was a surprise. I guess the feeling was that it was so obvious someone else was bound to submit it

Also add me to the Ren and Stimpy camp. Their friendship is such a large part of that film and they deserve to both be in but I'd rather see one of those two potential spots go to another series.

Based on this, we will be going with Monsters Inc. as for newcomer. I’m actually surprised that 1) Toy Story wasn’t submitted and 2) it didn’t win. That was an upset in my book but a good one. Kind of defeated the purpose for this IP submission. So, with this in mind, I want to have a discussion…

Obviously the only character that would be “deserving” for a protagonist spot is Mike and/or Sully. Randall, Boo, or, lol, Roz could be a potentially secondary rep but I’m pretty sure people would go nuts if Mike and Sully weren’t playable.

Discussion Round: Mike and Sully

How should Mike and Sully play like? Should they be individual fighters in the roster? Should they be a team fighter? Something akin to Pyra and Mythra? Or Ice Climbers? Red & Stimpy? We actually have a number of characters that could qualify for this such as the Incredibles, Peter Pan & Tinkerbelle, Mulan & Mushu, Woody & Buzz, etc. should Mike and Sully be separated or made Into a team?
Personally, I can imagine them working a lot more like Ren and Stimpy than the Ice Climbers or Pyra/Mythra. What with their friendship being such an important part of the movies they're in, it would be illogical to not include both... but personally, I think they're best suited to being a single slot. Admittedly, there's a few hilarious possible outcomes of this. For instance, you may have a situation where Sully just absolutely yeets Mike at the opponent, or perhaps one where Mike sort of acts as though Sully is his Stand or something.

I was going to, but Venus' initial post made it seem like he was trying to discourage us from submitting due to being too obvious lol
Currently, we have Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Elsa slated for our launch trailer. If we go with separating Mike and Sully, that’s five characters out of the eight we have planned. So we would be including only 3 more instead of 4. That’s another thing to consider. This also frees up Monsters Inc. as, most likely, I’ll be instituting a 2-3 character max per franchise depending on what kind of franchise it is. The Mickey Mouse series is already a given to have more than two reps and Toy Story or would also be a contender.

We could have a situation where we include both Mike & Sully as a duo character and an additional rep in someone like Randall. More over, including Mike & Sully could also lead into utilizing Boo within taunts, victory poses, or even an attack lol.

We will ultimately vote on what course to do with so please keep that in mind.

I realized poor Donald Duck is without a stage. Please submit one based on a film or show where Donald Duck was featured as the main character. Duck Tales is also permissible. Please explain how the stage looks, if it has any gimmicks, and please provide music (up to 8) if you can.

Money Bin

The money bin has you fight on Scrooge's lucky dime on the bin's surface, a small hard platform about the size of Mushroom Kingdom 2's bottom hard platform. It can be a very cramped stage. Above it is a battlefield soft platform layout made of dollars. A few priceless artefacts can rise up to the left and right of the stage, expanding its breathing room. Those are

  1. Green Cheese of Longevity - platform that slopes slighty towards the main battlefield
  2. Green Emerald - regular platform
  3. Blue Diamond - platform that sways back and forth
  4. Tiny treasure chest - has an open top, making a roof you can throw foes into, but loosens and snaps down after a while - trapping foes. The 4th snap of its appearance will sink foes into the money.
  5. Golden Dynamite - stand on it to start a countdown, it begins by glowing but becomes red when not much time is left. When it explodes, it catches a small bit of the main stage in the blast

You cannot drown or sink in the money, through it does obscure you if you fall in.

Duck Biplane from Ducktales (2017)

It would be similar to Pilotwings Stage and it has the same size as Pilotwings. Also, there are Locations from DuckTales in Background like ScroogeMcDuck's Bank, Moon or etc. while flying on the Stage. Also, the Hazards are Robbers from series that jump from their stolen Helicopter and they try to attack the players on Airplane and they jump-off later. You can jump-off the Stage or getting pushed.

Duckburg
This is a rather large stage involving fighting on top of a platform that will fly over Duckburg; going past buildings before approaching the mansion on top of the hill. The mansion has a main top where players can fight on which slopes down to two separate towers on either side that are connected. Finally, there are two additional towers that serve as auxiliary platforms. After some time, the stage will pick up players and zoom around Duckburg.

Much in the same vein as Mickey, we will be submitting a Donald Duck moveset. I’m still deciding on things for a Mickey and will be able to finish it this coming weekend. That being said, I wish to push forward and start Donald’s.

Donald Moveset:
Standard: Donald Claps in front of the opponent.
Forward: What's big idea! - Donald dashes for short distance and punches the enemy.
Backward: Donald turns back and slaps the enemy.
Upward: Donald quacks the enemy upwards.
Downward: Donald does a sliding kick.
Aerial Standard: Donald flaps his wings in both directions.
Forward air: Quuack! - Donald quacks loud in front of enemy in air, dealing normal damage.
Backward air: Donald launches his butt backwards and hits it in the air.
Upwards Air: Aerial version of Ground Upwards attack.
Downward Air: Donald launches an Egg downwards as projectile and it can spike opponents.
Grab: Donald grabs with both wings.
Forward throw: Donald kicks the enemy Forwards.
Back throw: Donald throws backwards behind him.
Up throw: Donald Yeets enemy upwards and Quacks at it.
Down Throw: Donald Meteor - Donald slams the opponent down and summons meteor above it to crash on it with great damage.

Heart Forwards: Flare Force missile - Donald shoots a Firework if front of him that goes Straight at enemies, exploding with normal damage. It's semi-spammable Move and you can angle it upwards or downwards. (Based on one of Donald's Moves in Kingdom Heart)
Heart Backwards: Unlucky Duck - Donald runs backwards or Forwards depends on side and Stuff is falling from sky behind him that damages enemies behind him.
Heart Upwards: Wing Flap - Donald flaps his wings like Duck Hunt's UP B, but after long time of flapping in air, he starts to get exhausted and he freefalls on opponent.
Heart Downwards: Duck Tornado - Donald spins in place and later launches the Vortex at enemies that nearly Instantly kills them. (Based on also one of Donald's Kingdom Heart Moves)

Dream Heart Move LVL.1: Duck Rage: Donald Duck turns red and starts to slap the enemy 10× times with strength and launches the enemy Forwards to KO like Luigi and later gets calm.
Dream Heart Move LVL.2: Huey, Dewey and Louie, Attack!: Donald commands his nephews to beat the 3 foes and and bringing them to Donald with stun Effect, ending the Dream Heart Move. Also, after that move, Donald can finally KO the Opponent.
Dream Heart Move LVL.3: Companion Power: Donald does a dash forwards to launch opponents into Cutscene, where he appears with Goofy and they use attacks based on KH on 5 foes and Donald uses his Tornado and launches them to Blast Zone, instantly Killing them.

Olaf would ride on top of Sven in the background, Olaf has a freezing aura around him anyone who comes in contact with the aura freezes.

Bruni would stand on top of the summoners head preventing them from getting frozen.

Also, when he misses, he smashes and Little Snowmen fall from above the Stage and they could beat up the Players. He can't be Harmed or KOed, he will appear for while like Assist Trophies.

Pabbie & The Trolls
Dual Class: Attack/Assist
"Summoning" this Helper, Pabbie will appear alongside a group of other trolls, as seen in the Frozen movie. Pabbie himself will gently place his hand on the floor, creating a "field" that will heal any fighter that stands within it (similar to the Healing Field item in Smash Bros.) The other trolls, however, will roll into rock-like balls, rolling forward or backward. Though unable to jump, they'll roll off the side of ledges that they come across. If they try and roll up a hill, they wind up standing up, looking dizzy. Similar to the Excitebike Racers trophy in Smash, being hit by one or two doesn't do all too much, but the sheer amount of them is what makes it a threat.

Notably, hitting Pabbie will result in the field being deactivated - though if you manage to launch him to another location, he'll place his hands down again and try to make the field once more. This continues until the "Helper" is deactivated.

Mickey idle: Mickey looks to the screen and dances a ditty resembling the Hot Dog dance

Donald idle: Donald curls up one sleeve, then the other, then curls up the first arm again to reveal his featherless skin - in embarassment, he curls the sleeves back down.

Donald losing: Donald begrudignly does a slow clap - occasionally flinching with rage.

Donald Taunt: Donald chortles with one hand covering his mouth, then goes into full on laughter, body swaying back and forth, hand on his belly and his other hand pointed forward

Elsa Victory: Elsa sneezes, which creates a snowgie that starts jumping around her, prompting her to give off a nervous chuckle.

Elsa Losing: Elsa performs a fairly formal light clap

Functions similarly to the Squid Sisters AT. Either "I2I" or "Stand Out" will play as the screen zooms in, cosing down the blast zones.

While there aren’t toooo many locations to go from, there are a few that could prove to be quite interesting. Please be detailed in your submission and explain how they stage works. How big is it? What gimmicks does it have? Does it have any hazards? Also, please include at least 5 songs in your submission!

Door Vault

A player-impacted transforming stage that takes you from Monstropolis into the human world and back.

You begin in the Monsters Inc. door vault, standing one line of doors that makes a downwards-sloped walk-off as another towers above you. It cannot be used as a platform, but moves unlike the bottom platform - and quickly. "Knock" on a door by hitting it 5 times as a single player and it will open up, sending you into a location in the human world - after you're done in that human location you'll find yourself in an Earth library where books about monster "folklore" rotate and can be opened like the doors, once you're done in that monster location you're back to the door vault. Notably, all monster forms are daytime and all human forms are nighttime

Monsters University Campus

No walk-offs here, but you fight between two trees that make it hard to KO foes, however there is a windmill pattern moving platform layout in the middle that makes it a little easier
Monsters Inc. Smokestacks

Fighting on one of the circular water towers(?) as a sloped platform, the smoke in the front will sometimes cover the screen
Mike's New Car

Mike's new 6-wheel drive car drives across the Monstropolis asphalt - somewhat similar to NASB's Hey Arnold Trafic Jam stage. The front hood will occasionally pop open, flinging fighters into the spoilers; and the wheels will bounce off, moving slow enough to be used as platforms
Harryhausen's

Fighting atop a table, there is a (non-alcoholic) wine glass to sink into, and a sloped sushi platform on a plate. The sushi will be picked out one-by-one and eaten - make sure you aren't standing on it when it's picked!
Human locations
Himalayas

The Adorable Snowman's cave resembles a Battlefield layout, but is a lot more slippery and has icicles that drop off the soft platforms. The platforms are also a bit higher up to make the icicles more of a threat
Under a Kid's Bed

There is a ceiling above this walk-off form. Half-way through the phase the Luxo Ball rolls in, serving as a bumper of sorts that sends anyone who contacts it flying into the ceiling. There are also permanently- disintergrating dust bunny platforms.
Moonlight Lake

Unlike it's scene of origin, this lake is quite shallow - but stepping in it will slow you down. To the left and right there are short walls that have ground when you land atop them, while the middle is all lake
Redneck Trailer

You fight on the door's ceiling, though after a while the owners of this trailer get driving... down a cliff, which creates a slope and causes debris to fly in so it can be used as platforms.

Children's Bedrooms

The stage could like Gamer where you're scaled down, but its on the Bed and there are random Bedrooms to show up where you're playing. The Hazards are giant Monsters that attack the random Child, which the fighter stands on it and monster hits it, tha Child Screams with knockback effect that could KO you.

I’m putting in a last minute submission…

Scare Floor

While technically Scare Floor F, this stage consists of a single stage platform that extends from left to right with walk off lines. On occasion, sirens will blare and the world map on the digital screen will show the current location for scaring. From there, several doors will appear from the top. Several of the Top Scarers will also appear, ready for another day of work. Once all the doors are positions, one will open up showcasing one of six different rooms. This number was chosen in order to make the stage more realistic and easier to manage rather than having tons to content with. These rooms consists of:
Child’s Room (This room is a typical child room with the light off. It greatly resembles Boo’s room. There is a bed on the right side with a dresser on the left which can be used as platforms.)
Fake Child’s Room (Much like the previous room but far rarer. The animatronic boy will sometimes pop up for a jumpscare.)
Bunk Bed Room (Features two tier beds which can used as platforms. It appears much like a bunk room at a school camp.)
Bayou House (Taken from where Randall met his demise. This features and outside and inside with the outside having a swamp which causes the players to drown if they stay too long. The right side is inside which can trap players inside.)
French House (Taken during Randall’s pursuit of our heroes. It’s rather simple as it two doors on either side which can KO opponents. The top portion has a chandelier which can crash if damaged. The Eiffel Tower towers in the distance.)
Sleepover Room (Taken when the one Scarer whose name I forgot almost got killed. The girls are absent but this room is full of damage, broken things, guitars, loud music, and whatever things pre-adolescent goth girls like.)

Job #16: Submit Specials plus Ultimate Attacks for Elsa

We will submit Elsa’s Specials and Ultimates. There is a terminology for this game but this is easier to understand. In total, there are:

4 Specials
3 Ultimates
(triggered via meter bar akin to MvC)

Now, as for Elsa, she plays more similar to Zelda than Peach albeit a tad bit faster hut with less defense. She can be launched further thanks to less weight. She also lacks notable aerial skills which makes her a bit weak in that area. Her main strengths are for zoning and trap setting. Using her ice abilities, she is able to freeze opponents in their tracks, control the stage, and exert her dominance by pressuring and baiting opponents.
