“Some seek glory,
Some seek riches,
To climb to the top is the challenge,
To be the very best,
Is our cause,
They will travel across the land,
Searching far and wide,
To face stronger and stronger opponents,
To hone one skill,
And rise to the top,
That’s…..the Pokken Tournament”

Pokken Tournament 2
Pokken Tournament 2 was revealed in a Pokemon Direct (in the distant but not too distant future) alongside Pokemon Midnight Black and Dazzling White, Pokemon Legends Kyurem, Super Poké Kart, Pokemon Pinball Max, and more! The game features similar gameplay elements of the first and porter Pokken Tournament along with new fighters, stages, and assists! Along with a new story mode to boot, Pokken Tournament strives to be the very best it can be!
Synopsis
Settled in the far north is The Island of the Iron Fist and, there, a martial arts master awaits for any strong opponent to dare challenge it. Perched in meditation high on its throne amongst a snowy temple sits in wait Urshifu. But, alas, no one sought to challenge the master in years…decades even. Summoning all flying types of his island, it dispersed its message to the Pokemon across the global.
The Pokken Tournament made by Pokemon for Pokemon
No humans directing moves, none of the fluff. Just pure, simple, fighting between Pokemon to Pokemon.
Urshifu took the messages and dispersed them to across the world; inviting all strong pokémon to attend this tournament.
The Project Premise
We are going to design the next installment of Pokken Tournament. Unlike Smash Infinite, this will be more barebones with a relaxed with no set updated times or periods. We will just be covering three things for the most part: fighters, stages, and assist Pokemon but may include additional content as well go on.

Name | Decription | Alternate Name | Alternate Version |
Iron Fist Temple | An ancient and ornate temple situated in frozen peaks and blinding blizzards. Here is where Urshifu awaits for a challenger to arrive.
Midway City | A bustling metropolis full of cars, busy streets, shops, skyscrapers, billboards, and more.
Infernaus Caldera | A scorching pit of lava and fire with a burning red hot slab of rock acting as the ring. Lava shoots up in marvelous geysers and arcs that causes the sun to appear as it to is empowered by the firestorm.
Gigante Glade | An area full of abonormally large plants. Perhaps this was an accidental spill of Miracle Grow? For whatever reason, all the plant sin here grew to monstrous levels. | Nightmare | This gigante glade was once peaceful gigantic plants run amok. Now, they are gigantic nightmarish mushrooms full of psychedelic fumes and spores that litter the area. The mushrooms and plants are twisted in nefarious shapes and angles. There’s a sinister air about this place. Parasect, Venomoth, Amoogus, Ivysaur, Oddish, Victreebel, Spinarak, and other Grass/Bug/Poison. |
Crypt of Confagrigus | A mysterious underground tomb full of spider webs, sand, dust, and coffins. A mysterious and sullen atmopshere lurks about the stage which chokes out hope. | Oasis of Cofagrigus | The underground tomb is now an above ground temple in this version. The fight will take place in a courtyard like area, where dense foliage covers the area, including tall palm trees, dense vines covered in a variety of flowers that cover the walls and even seep into the water, and seaweed in the water itself. Sand can also be seen in gaps in the foliage. The fight itself takes place in a shallow pool of water in the center of the area. The walls of the arena are dotted with heiroglyphs, and a massive Cofagrigus head statue is in the back of the stage above the exit out (Visual only exit, you can't just leave mid way through). The area is overall dark thanks to the dense foliage, but light peaks up through ceiling. Pokemon that appear include: Maractus, Spoink, Sigilyph, Corphish, Clamperl, Gorebyss, Exeggutor, and Camerupt. |
Undersea Shipwreck | Found within the hallowed out remains of a sunken cruise ship which has came to rest on the sea floor far below. What kind of watery horrors will fighters find themselves in?
Moaning Cave | This course takes place in a cave system in an abandoned mineshaft, the area is pitch black, but there are some crystal themed pokemon providing light to this area. Like the name suggests this cave has deep unearthly moans as the main theme of the stage, these moans come from the giant strange monk like statues carved into the cave. As the battle goes on the monk statues continue to moan even louder which give a very unnerving feel to the area. It's a medium sized stage and the arena is the roof of what appears to be an abandoned shrine, this shrine has statues of what appears to be Ultra Beasts such as Celesteela, Stakastake, and Necrozma himself, implying that Ultra Beasts used to live in this area and were linked to the shrine's disarray, lore like this is what makes the caves so eerie.
Big Lugg Rink | An outdoor skating rink on the back of a giant Avalugg statue. It is located on the outskirts of a snowed-over city. Bleachers surround the rink. |
Assist Pokemon
Pokémon | Attack | Description |
Porygon Normal Generation I | Tri Attack | Fires three projectiles forward which has a chance of inducing burn, freeze, or paralyzing the opponent for a short time. |
Ribombee Bug/Fairy Generation VII | Pollen Puff | Ribombee will use Pollen Puff, sticking to the player and granting smaller amounts of passive healing over time for 10 seconds before the puff leaves. |
Edelgloss Grass Generation VIII | Leaf Tornado | Eldegoss will use Leaf Tornado, creating three small tornadoes circling the player. These act as a shield. If struck, they will dissipate. They will last for 7 seconds before dissipating. |
Woobat Flying/Psychic Gen V | Heart Stamp | Woobat flies straight towards the opponent and inflicts a small amount of damage on contact. This attack temporarily causes the opponent's attacks to come out more slowly (startlag is slightly increased). |
Skarmory Steel/Flying Gen II | Steel Wing | Skarmory will rush in and deal some damage to the opponent with Steel Wing. It will then leave. The opponent will only take some damage (Not too much not too little, leaning more towards little than much) and will be left stunned for a short while afterwards. |
Zigazoon Normal Gen III | Fail | Zigzagoon runs along the ground in a zig-zag pattern, attempting to headbutt the opponent. If it hits, the opponent is knocked backward a fair distance. This move is not particularly strong, but it is difficult to avoid and potentially disruptive if the opponent gets distracted. |
Rotom Ghost/Electric Gen IV | Thunder Shock | When summoned, it uses Thunder Shock, which homes in on airborne opponents and decreases their speed. |
Frogadier Water Gen VI | Water Pulse | Frogadier uses Water Pulse when summoned. The attack consists of several rapidly-fired projectiles. Water Pulse deals 44 damage. Frogadier has a low charge time. |
Emolga Flying/Electric Gen V | Shock Wave | Emolga uses Shock Wave when summoned. The attack has high range and comes out quickly, dealing 80 damage and lowering the opponent's speed. |
Farfetch'd Normal/Flying Gen I | Fury Cutter | When summoned, it uses Fury Cutter; an attack that involves a flurry of hits. |
