pokemon moon not being recongized!!

what was the most hardest fight you did in pokemon 3ds

So I was cleaning up my game collection, then I found these covers for 3ds games. I opened them all up and found some Mario and Pokemon games. I started my 3ds and checked what they had in store. But once I got into (regular) moon it wouldn't recongnize. Then I noticed my moon cartridge had some damage on the data cages. I really don't want to lose my save file. Anybody want to know what to do.
