The Pokemon Company announced more Pokemon Home price and release details for the cloud service. It will launch worldwide on February 2020 and allow you to move and trade Pokemon between compatible games anywhere and any time. Free and paid options will be available.

The “Free” plan will be available at launch, but warning: it’s very limited. Pokemon can not be moved from Pokemon bank and only 30 Pokemon may be deposited. Only three Pokemon can be placed into the Wonder Box and only one in the GTS (Global Trade Station) at a time.

The paid “Premium” plan will let users move Pokemon from Pokemon Bank, increases the number to 6,000, allows for ten in the Wonder Box and three in the Global Trade Station. Premium Plan holders can also utilize the room trade and judge function features.

The cost prices include the following:
  • 30 day subscription at $2.99
  • 90 day subscription at $4.99
  • 365 day subscription at $15.99
The following games will be supported:
  • Pokemon GO (not available at launch)
  • Pokemon Sword
  • Pokemon Shield
  • Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu!
  • Pokemon: Let’s Go, Eevee!
  • Pokemon Bank
Pokemon Home will be released in February 2020 for Switch and all available mobile devices

Author’s Note: Are you excited for Pokemon Home? Will you be using it? I have no plans to, but happy for all Pokemon fans interested!

I like that Home will have a national dex, and online trading to complete it. Hopefully, this is a step towards having a national dex in the next games, possibly the next Let's Go games, or the Gen 4 remakes

You are talking as if the national dex is some amazing new feature that they are working towards. Maybe you are new to the franchise, but Pokemon has had the national dex since gen 1. Also they've had the capability to transfer Pokemon to the next gen since gen 3 (it was only for technical reasons that it was not since gen 1) and GST has been there since gen 4 (which also was the first generation were this was technically possible). It's only in SwSh that they removed those features, bumped up the price of what remains by 50%, and then sell the features back to the players for $16/year.

Hopefully this is a step towards even coming close to meeting the standards that the Pokemon core games met during their first 20 years.
