You could say the same for those who bought Yellow with G/S, though. And Kanto in G/S really was not the same experience as Kanto in R/B/G/Y

It's a remake.

It won't include something as big as 2 additional regions.

Tbh, that might be a little to unrealistic here. If they really wanted to make a game with all 4 regions, then would they really take the time to pack all of it into these 2 games? I think they would do something that big for a whole new series.

But still... Having all 4 regions in one game is a bit overwhelming.

Now that they're there and you can get to them from Kanto, it makes sense that you would probably be able to explore the sevii islands again.

Gold and Silver have Johto and Kanto right? Now what if they had region exclusive versions? Say HeartGold had Hoenn and Soulsilver had Sinnoh? Plus you would meet and or battle with the playable characters from their respected regions, plus all the new pokemon from that gen i.e Glameow and Stunky*I know bad examples* would be in the same cartridge. I would buy both games to have an experience like that.

Also from umm my past days as a bad person, the D&P carts were only 64 MB big unzipped and Platinum was 128mb. Now the biggest NDS game is 1GB. Now pokemon games are only using around 1/10th of the full potential of the DS cart. Imagine how much stuff they can cram in there.

They have yet to do it, so I think there's a much higher possibility of them showing up in the only game to date with multiple regions than in a new one. I've lost hope for multiple regions in any other game besides G/S/C and any remakes.

I never liked the Sevii Islands, they felt like sort of a boring and tedious side-quest. The only good thing was this, and we'll be hearing (hopefully) even better versions in this game anyways.

On that note, I have to say one of the things I'm most looking forward to is hearing all of this music advanced two generations in its full glory. I still listen to the music and love it in all of its 8-bit glory. I can only imagine what it'll sound like totally redone.

Also, I wonder if they'll use the Crystal Legendary Dog theme. Oh hey, and maybe they'll finally clear up what exactly the things are. Like, have we ever gotten confirmation on whether they're dogs, cats, or something else?

They should definitely do that. I might even buy both on release date if they do that. Like, EPIC WIN if that happens.

...Of course, now I've gotten both of our hopes up by coming up with that and treating it as viable. Now we can wait for Nintendo to be stupid and not use such an excellent marketing strategy.

Most likely yes. EV's are now here to stay most likely. Also we may get to learn the new moves from generation III and IV.

Definately. The're not going to undo progressive game mechanics. Asking if they are going to undo the physical/special split is like asking if they are going to remove abilities or natures. Fire and Leaf Green would have alreayd told you that. It's a remake not a port. The new inclusions are what keeps these games interesting. It would be silly to remove everything and only give us a graphical upgrade. That would be a rather sad "remake".

Lol. I had just played Pearl twice within the past year (I sold my real copy, then got another one and had to re-play it), so maybe that's why it didn't really amaze me.

That and the story part of the series doesn't really excite me anymore. Stale formula is stale. I just wanna get to the end so I can start building my teams.

I'd imagine you can refer to FR/LG for an idea of what HG/SS will be. I'm sure they won't undo any mechanics, new moves will likely be available, EVs will surely be kept...

As for Thunderpunch on Typhlosion, we can only guess at that. My best guess is they'll slightly alter movepools from Platinum. HOPEFULLY they'll make it more accurate to G/S/C as well, though.

I'm talking about every Pokemon to date being available in the game. Kinda like how in FR and LG you could get all the Pokemon from both the Johto and Hoenn region.

All I'm asking is if it will have all 400 something Pokemon in it.

4 regions would be an amazing idea but I just don't see nintendo doing it.

Possibly 7 years from now when were on gen 5-6 they'll launch a all regions in one pack but until at least next gen I don't think it will happen.

Why does everyone think Notched-Eared Pichu is going to be in the game? The promotions for the 12th movie, that is a SHINY Pichu and an Arceus will be available for Platinum. Chances are that they will not make a notched eared Pichu in this game, else it'd be a gender alteration for females, and even then, it'll be WAY past the movie's release.
