As far as I know you can only have SSE Stages on STGONLINETRAINING.pac (Wi-Fi Waiting Room/Practice Stage) and STGDXSHRINE.pac (Temple), none of the others will work.

Also, you could put SSE stages on the stage select screen except I don't think Dantarion or Phantom Wings's codes work on PAL, just NTSC-U.

You can put SSE stages on several stages, its just that several effects will be left over from the initial stage, which is why stages like the WWR and Temple work, because NOTHING happens on them.

Battlefield has some effects to it, so its probably unwise to replace it.

Mind explaining the effects lingering on battlefield and final destination?

Perhaps the OP just wants a custom stage to be in Battlefield's spot on the Stage Select Screen? In that case, it should be possible to move the stage icons around using Phantom Wings's Stage Expansion System code. Alternately, he could use Dantarion's code in the same thread and hold down a Gamecube controller button while selecting Battlefield.

While both Battlefield and FD have no hazards that affect the player, their backgrounds still change over time and those probably count as "effects".

Battlefield's time-of-day changes while you play. Spend enough time on it and it'll go from afternoon to sunset to nighttime. It doesn't reference your system clock like Smashville does and instead goes at an accelerated pace. It's particularly noticeable while playing 100-Man Brawl or 15-Minute Brawl in single-player.

Final Destination has all kinds of crazy graphical changes going on in the background while you fight. You've got the first "room" with the galaxy and planets, then a corridor with glowing lines zipping past, then the second "room" with the clouds drifting past another galaxy, then another corridor, etc.

FD's platform also has that spinning crystal in the middle and animated pulsing lines of light near each side.

if that's the only problem then freezing stages should stop any hazardous elements from taking part on the screen, no?
