Well this is really cool. Been bouncing around on a lot of competitive information (including running into here several times) and finally decided to try and dig into here and chat. I'm one of dem frame data dorks. Gotta learn all the details to know what reaction is most appropriate against certain moves. On top of that, I have every desire to get super competitive.
It all started in those Melee days. Friends would play and we'd have a great time, though I managed to figure out my old mains and were good before I even knew a competitive scene was a thing. I was not taking tourneys, but I was the best in the neighborhood since owning the game kinda does that.
Jump past Brawl (because no offense to anyone that actually likes that game, but I -really- didn't) I get a fresh take on Smash 4, and I immediately picked up , and have remained dedicated to figuring out his quirks since through nerf and buff.
My rival, is a / main and as much as I hate to admit it, we are near equal for what feels like all the wrong reasons (I get punished for very silly things). The start goal here is to get good enough to where said rival, never beats me again [dark laughter].
As far as my competitive play goes, I know how to play, but what I really need, is to play a lot of different people, especially those who are better than me. Trust me when I say just playing the game against other people is a near invaluable thing to me right now, especially if I could make practice a regular thing.
Oh um, hello.
