Terrain Types
Most of the Terrain in Brawl can be categorized into certain groups, which are then broken up into the individual terrain.
Metallic Terrain
Metallic(1) - Regular Metal, such as the metallic platforms in Pokemon Stadium 1 (Rock Phase). 20/30/20/10/20
Metallic(2) - Any Land Vehicle, such as the Cars/Ship in Big Blue and the Landmasters. 20/30/20/10/20
Metallic(3) - The Great Fox and Arwings in Corneria/Lylat Cruise. The Ship from Big Blue is for some reason this type of terrain in the boss battle against Meta Ridley, however is of the Metallic(2) type when in Big Blue. 20/30/20/15/15
Water Terrain
Shallow Water - Anytime that you can stand in water without drowning. The actual terrain you're standing on does not matter. For example, the terrain at the bottom of summit is ice terrain, but when it's slightly submerged in water, it entirely changes terrain even though you're still pulling from the ice. The Pirate Ship, after crashing and slightly submerging, however, does not change it's terrain type at all and remains standard. 0/30/40/15/15
Ice - Ice terrain that characters slide on. 20/20/30/20/10
Cloud - The clouds from Skyworld after breaking the platforms. 20/20/30/20/10
Cloth Terrain
Cloth - The awnings in Onett/Delphino Plaza and the Flags in Castle Seige. I dont exactly know why Cloth gives this percentage of pikmin... i guess there's just not much else that could increase red pikmin (burning house at stadium maybe?) 30/20/20/15/15
Umbrella - The Umbrella at Delphino Plaza, however, does not change percentages at all. 23/23/23/15/15
Plant Terrain
Tree - Trees (Pokemon Stadium 1 and Onett) for some reason give an increase in white pikmin, regardless of how much sense it would make. 23/23/23/20/10
Burnt Tree - The burnt Tree in Pokemon Stadium 1, however, does not give any percentage changes. 23/23/23/15/
Leaves/Vines - The Leaves and Vines from Distant Planet also give no terrain change. 23/23/23/15/15
Hanenbow Leaves - The Leaves in Hanenbow give one of the most unusual terrain changes, increasing all of the primary colors and reducing the secondary two as far as they can go. 30/30/30/5/5
Wood
Wood - Most wood terrain dont give any changes whatsoever. 23/23/23/15/15
Jungle Japes Wood - The Wood in Jungle Japes however gives a very small increase to the primary colors and decreases purple. 25/25/25/15/10
Rock
Rock(1) - Rock terrain do not give any alternate percentages at all. These are namely the rocks at Distant Planet, Pokemon Stadium 1, and Pirate Ship. 23/23/23/15/15.
Rock(2) - The percentage in this terrain are actually the exact same as Rock(1). The difference in the two is actually something not pertaining to terrain. For some reason it pulling pikmin from this terrain increases Olimar's pluck animation by 50%. The terrain I've found this to happen at so far are Castle Seige (Phase 3), The inside of Spear Pillar, Target Test 2, and half of the custom stage pats. 23/23/23/15/15
Stone(1) - Any stone at Rumble Falls. 25/25/15/15/20
Stone(2) - The Stone Bridge in Bridge of Eldin. 23/23/23/15/15
Sand - The Sand Beaches at Delphino Plaza./ 30/30/15/10/15
AMERICAN
Bulborb - Yeah. He voted for obama. 30/15/25/25/5
Other
Anything from Grass to Random Platforms. From Pipes to the Support Ghost. The Terrain in this group either give standard, white, or puple, and it seems to be for the most part randomly placed throughout them, not making much sense (mushroomy blocks increasing white?). Listing all of these out would take too much time and nobody would read it :D
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
