In all honesty yeah - let Nintendo be the idiots that they are and do what they want.

I'm studying Games Dev at Uni, and plan to only make UK games - trust me, they will be big and many will complain. But thats the only way people will learn.

Make a major title for the Wii - sell it only on in the UK and Nintendo will be practically begging for a quick U.S and JPN release date which they'll never get.

To: Nintendo of Europe

Dear NoE

The european gamers are not pleased with your decision to release the upcoming 1st-party game "Super Smash Bros. Brawl" not before Summer/Fall 2008. You should be able to translate such a game within months! The european translation-team even posted translated screenshots at the SmashBros.com Homepage in each european language (Update from 2006-06-28) so there's a proof that the game has been translated from the beginning and not after the the development has reached a certain stage.

Why do we European have to suffer like this? There is no reason to delay the game either. We're the fans and we would like to buy the game as soon as possible and not a half year later after the original release in Japan and America.

Sincerely,

...wow. Just wow.

Your petition message is abbraisive, accusatory, demanding, whiny, arrogant and somewhat insulting. To Nintendo, that is, as if they'll ever read it.

That's the other problem; they won't, and this won't do anything.

I'm not trying to flame, however. I'd just like to point out that even if you sincerely think a petition is the way to go and that it'll work, that is *NOT* the kind of message that's going to change people's minds. I would reconsider.
