Ohaider. I'm bored with life right now, so I've decided to throw another tournament
despite the fact that my other one is still in Grand Finals and has not yet been completed (meh it will finish eventually)
Nor do I care.
The idea behind this is straightforward: Ganondorf vs Captain Falcon. There will be two groups of 8 people each. One group represents Ganon and one represents Falcon. There will be 4 rounds, each one lasting a week. And players from the Ganon team will be pit against those from the Falcon team at random in 3/5 sets. Pairings will be chosen at random, but you will NOT ever face the same opponent twice.
In the set, each win grants your team a point. So even if you lose the set, as long as you win a game, you earn points. For example, if my Ganon went against Ramen's Falcon and lost 3-1, the Falcon team would earn 3 points, and the Ganon team would earn 1. Simple right? So, after the 4 weeks, the team with the most points will be declared the winner ^.^
IMPORTANT: Incomplete sets by the deadline will result in a 3/5 coin toss. Each toss representing one match. So if for example one player wins 3 straight coin tosses, then that player wins the set 3-0. This will occur if no mention of contacting your opponent was made in this thread.
This event is STRICTLY FOR FUN. There is no prize or 1st or 2nd place wins. This will not count toward the OTL Power Rankings due to there being 8 winners at the end. So if you're the kind of person who enters things just for the prizes or rankings, this event is not for you. Sorry.
Rules:
-You must have at least 200 posts to join this tournament unless you are approved by myself or another trustworthy member. This ensures me that you are a trustworthy member and will not forget your matches.
-16 Players
-3 Stock
-8:00 Time Limit
-Items set to OFF and NONE
-3/5 sets.
-A Flame Choke suicide finish results in Ganondorf's win.
-NO STALLING. You should know what stalling is.
-Ledge Grab Limit is 50 PER MATCH.
-Stage Striking is allowed, but not required so long as both players agree.
-The winner of a match may ban one stage before the other player states their counterpick.
-Standard counterpicking rules apply. Dave's Stupid Rule is in effect both players agree otherwise.
-Should the time run out in a match, the victor is determined first by stock, then by percentage, and then by Sudden Death.
-If lag is unplayable and both players agree to it, I will flip a coin. The winner of the flip will win the set 3-2. Meaning the winner's team get's 3 points and the loser's team gets 2.
-Save replays/record matches if possible please. Not mandatory, but I'd prefer it to see the matches for myself.
