Pac-Man Confirmed, Game and Watch Teased for Smash for WiiU & 3DS

As the day comes to a close on an exciting E3 that featured Super Smash Brothers Wii U and 3DS as the centerfold game, we learned in the 11th hour that Pac-Man and Mr. Game and Watch would be coming to the roster. Sakurai held a closed-door developer roundtable and word is still coming from it. Pictures and information about how the characters will work in Super Smash Brothers Wii U and 3DS has yet to come but stay turned during the week as even more details regarding the game are released and as our experts have a chance to comb over every second of video during the event.

Update: It's been clarified after Pac-Man's official announcement outside the developer round table that Game & Watch simply made an appearance in Pac-Man's trailer. He has not yet been confirmed as a playable character

I'm going to be honest and say that I'm still on the edge about this. I kiiiind of saw PAC-MAN joining the battle, but I really was hoping he wouldn't. We'll see what really comes to fruition though. I am sure once I see him and play with him and such, I will think he's much more awesome than I do right now. Third party is always fun to see, and glad to see that things are getting diverse in character design.

On one hand, it seems weird to have Pac-Man in as he's not really associated with Nintendo. On the other hand, this means that it will be entirely possible to stage a deathmatch between Mario, Sonic, Megaman, and Pac-Man.
